in the contact field, how do i change the name of a contact field like custom properties or organizational properties to something else? i do not know how to add an image! So, go to address book, new contact, and you will see the fields custom properties and organizational properties towards the bottom.....Thank you...b³

I'm trying to migrate Thunderbird from my old PC/Windows 10 to my brand-new PC/Windows 10, following the step-by-step instructions on https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/moving-thunderbird-data-to-a-new-computer. I followed those instructions to the letter (multiple times) but can't get it to work. Are there more recent (and perhaps more complete) instructions to be found elsewhere? Does anyone else have the same?

I have made a copy of my old TB profile folder on a backup stick (it is titled 'Thunderbird', and inside that folder is a folder titled 'Profiles' that contains a number of folders including the most recent profile that I am still using with my old PC. The difficulty is getting this backed up profile info installed on my new 'destination' computer.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I am struggling with Gmail and Yahoo mail account in TB these few days. I hit almost the same errors from both. I generated app password for Yahoo mail, and put it in when setting up new account. For connection security: SSL/TLS For authentication method: tried with Normal password, Encrypted password, and OAuth2 However, I am seeing the expected authentication window pop up when trying the OAuth2. For all three authentication method: errors are always the same --- unable to connect to your IMAP server. I've followed another instruction to change maximum number of server connections to cache into 1 or 10. Error messages were the same imap one. So, what should I do/try for next?

This addon, after download, installs fine as a temporary addon.

How can I install it permanently?

My Browser keeps on telling me there is an update... I've updated, reinstalled the latest version and it still keeps giving a pop-up saying there is an update...

How do I get rid of these pop-ups???

I have two desktop icons for Firefox. Each opens to a different file. How do I clear the old file? What do I do about the message that Firefox can not update automatically? Where do I look to see Firefox file and see what date it is downloaded? If it is operational? Why is the same series of problems repeating daily?

Cox has tranferred my email accounts to Yahoo. I need to know how to connect back to Thunderbird. Had a discussion on your FB group with ANJE YELF.. She said to leave a message here and she would get back to me on how to do that. I have imap.

Moved to new country (UK) took TB data with me as instructed. Installed TB did put in email data. Uploaded TB data as per instructions. Opened TB and put in email password etc. All my current emails show up no problems and email account appears to work but none of the uploaded data appears even though it took 15 min to upload. It feels like it was uploaded to the 'wrong' place but I uploaded the data it to the TB folder as instructed. Any idea what I did wrong??

I have just imported my old email from Outlook to TB Local Folders. Everything works out except some of the email (not all) show a wrong date in the email list. The date show a future date like 2/7/2101, 6:28 AM. Please check the attached image. Any idea?

Since installing Ubuntu 23.10 on my new desktop pc, Thunderbird is failing to see the account details in .thunderbird I copied all the files from my backup into a new account directory (/home/cfi/.thunderbird/y4xyxmli.default), a technique that has worked many times in the past, but not this time. Previously, thunderbird has simply taken the settings from the backed up files and used those to connect to my organisation's mail server. Any ideas? How can I force Thunderbird to read the old account settings?

Hello, I have problem with firefox. When I try download from facebook page files .docx, .xlsx (Microsoft Office) Firefox automatically download it as PDF and file is broken. I don't know how to repair this. Please help, it is very frustrating.

Poczta Thunderbird nie ściągą nowych wiadomości, usuwane teraz stare, wracają do folderów głównych. Przy odbieraniu wiadomości pojawia się komunikat jak na zdjęciu. Ostatnia wiadomość pobrano ok. 100razy.
