I have had the same filters and folders for years. Now pretty much everything is not filtered when messages arrive, and when I do a manual "Run Filters on Folder" I get this message about many, maybe all, of my filters "The folder 'Newsletters' could not be found, so filter(s) associated with this folder will be disabled. Verify that the folder exists, and that filters point to a valid destination folder."

"Applying filter From is: dailybusinessreview@alm.com failed. Would you like to continue applying filters?"

When I try redoing the filter, filter dialog says it can't find the folder. I tried repairing the folder, no good.

Junk filters after years of learning, aren't working either.

Now what? TIA.

Hello, After updating Thunderbird to version 115.11.1, messages are empty and contain no content. Messages that arrive after the update have content. How can I solve this problem because all messages in the folder received from before the update are empty.

When using amazon the login and page load times are excessively long. More often than not I can open MSN, load amazon, login, and find what I'm looking for before Firefox has completed signing me in or searching for an item. This is not a once in a while problem, it happens every time with amazon, some times worse than other times. Ive deleted and reloaded Firefox, cleared all history and tried as many other things that I could find online to try, none of which helped.

I have a Blackview Tab16 (10" screen), which I bought last year; it was running Firefox quite happily until a couple of months ago. Now when I click on the icon, I get a sort of 'welcome' screen (with some message about a search widget?) for a fraction of a second, then FF closes and I get an error message saying 'Sorry. Firefox had a problem and crashed.' The version of FF is 126.0. I was told to try clearing the cache, but there is nothing there to clear! The tablet is running Android 12 / DoKe OS V3.0.

I have an 8" Blackview tablet which - despite needing to be plugged in to run all the time! - opens & runs Firefox perfectly happily. It's my main browser on my MacBook as well, and will run on my iPhone.

Kia Ora, my Gmail account has stopped downloading to Thunderbird.

I hadn't changed any settings before this happened. Have looked for solutions online, the one I saw here suggested changing the saved password in Thunderbird, which I have done, changing three gmail listings to my current gmail password.

The fix here also suggested deleting the current account, but I can't find that either.

Please advise.

For about the last month or so, I frequently get an error message that my password is incorrect.

I use Thunderbird to manage emails on five separate accounts. Four are gmail accounts and I NEVER have an issue with those.

The issue only occurs with my oldest email account, which is an ".msn" account - a paid Microsoft account.

I can send and receive mail on this account without any issues when I use Outlook online through my Firefox browser, but when I try to use through Thunderbird, I get the password error message more often than I don't. In other words, sometimes the emails go through, but most of the time they do not. When I copy and paste the text of the email into the web browser version, there is never any problem and I am NEVER asked for my password.

Every now and then, when the message pops up, I attempt to re-enter my password, but most of the time it still won't send, and the error message re-appears almost immediately. I have changed the password twice, but that has no effect on the error message.

I would be very appreciative of any assistance.

When ever I play a game, the video I have playing (yes I need that stimulation) all of a sudden just freezes I can hear the audio but the video just freezes unless I click back onto the browser

I'm a long time FF user, the developer edition is my preferred browser. It suddenly started crashing, a complete removal and new install did not help.I posted a help question a couple of weeks ago but no workable solution surfaced unfortunately. I assume the problem is still the same.

ps. I'm currently using the standard FF verison and it runs smooth as ever....

When I use the "Delete mail marked as junk" tool, sometimes it deletes all of them at once, and sometimes only one at a time. How do I fix it so that it aways deletes them all at once?

Every time I attempt to download a file today, no matter what it is or where it's from, it pops up saying that the download failed immediately. I can download through Edge or other browsers, just not Firefox (or any Firefox offshoots like LibreWolf). Not sure what's causing it, I've run a whole gambit of troubleshooting options, including:

• Checking my connection
• Checking my drive's space (plenty)
• Changing the download path
• Reset the download folder in about:config
• Rebooting my computer
• Clearing my downloads
• Trying a new profile
• Run a MalwareBytes scan
• Closed MalwareBytes and turned off my firewall
• Ensured OneDrive is disabled
• Refreshed Firefox
• Did a clean install

Nothing works. The only thing I found that gives me any kind of clue is this error message in my about:support: ""NotAllowedError: Could not create unique file in `C:\Users\[my name redacted]\AppData\Local\Temp' (NS_ERROR_FILE_ACCESS_DENIED"" It seems like Firefox is trying to write to Temp and can't get the permissions, but I'm not sure why that would be or how to fix it. I have tried googling my butt off, but I'm not finding anything helpful - I may just be blind.

If anyone has any idea how to fix this, it'd be much appreciated!

i updated my browser and now everything is gone, my extentions wont open as its in "safe mode", none of my browsing history is saved anymore. should I delete firefox and reinstall it?

I have issues since a few months that Firefox loads website only when I actively click on the app and put in foreground. Then the tabs start loading. Why is that?

After startup of Windows 10, I usually run a little batch script of mine starting various applications such as Outlook, Notepad++ etc, including Firefox along with my favourite websites, just like this:

So Firefox loads and opens all the tabs in the background, while other apps such as Outlook or Notepad++ come in the foreground. I read mails etc. before I decide to check e.g. Wikipedia. So it might take 5 minutes after Firefox got opened before I actively put it in the foreground. THEN I see no websites got loaded, and THEN Firefox starts to load the websites, which then takes the normal amount of time of a few seconds.

I wonder why Firefox does not load all my requested websites directly after start in the background.

An annoying side effect is, when still in Outlook and clicking on a website link in an email, it won't open in Firefox, most likely due to that reason that Firefox still waits for all the other websites to load. I need to put it into foreground, wait for the loading process to complete, and then go back to the email and click on the link again.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

After update to 126.0.1 I cant access two of the four windows that are open. They are still listed under the Window toolbar option but clicking on them reveals nothing, as if hidden except they are not in the Mac toolbar. Not sure if this is a new feature or glitch, any help would be great, the two windows I can't currently access contain alot of tabs I need.

I occasionally get a Authentication Failed to Server (Outlook.com) and when it occurs it continues for 1-5 minutes then goes away again.

Is there any error logging proceedure that I can set up to see what the exact issue is?

I've tried running a parallel alternative email client (eM Client) and that doesn't seem to suffer in the same way, but I much prefer Thunderbird so would like to find out what the problem is.

Yesterday I found that emails are not displaying in the folders. At the top alongside "Inbox" it says I have 28 emails but only 12 are displaying, and this is repeated in other folders. The attached photo shows another folde saying there are 35 messages in the inbox but only 8 displayed. Where are the others?

Also, now when I open the program no new emails appear and the "Get Messages" does not download any new emails.

I have not made any changes to anything .

I am running Thunderbird on another laptop and it is fine. Are there any fixes or do I have to reinstall the program?

Each time that I open an email, another tab appears in the status bar: Thunderbird Privacy Notice. I need to manually delete them for each email that I open. This is a nuisance. How can I stop these tabs from cluttering my status bar?

I have used Firefox exclusively for years. I use Hushmail but recently I am missing the respond to email bar that was always there. I have to use Edge and Chrome (but not a fan of) and Hushmail works like it used to. Something about Firefox must be the difference. Can you help me?

History -> Manage History

select e.g. Last 7 days, right click on Name and select at least two attributes (you can choose from: Tags, Location,Most Recent Visit, Added and Last Modified)

Select the first entry of the list, all displayed fields are selected/highlighted.

Copy (either with the menu or with Ctrl-C) and paste it in your favourite text editor.

Why is only the URL copied? Other fields were also highlighted. Why are they not included?

This is WYSINWYG (what you see is not what you get).

It is possible to export bookmarks as an html file, so why is this not possible with history?

OK, it is possible to query the sqlite3 database directly to get some history info but it's a bit cumbersome.

To do so,

  copy the sqlite (places.sqlite) database to some safe place then open the database (with 'sqlite3 places.sqlite')
  get the history info you are interested in with a sqlite query,
  e.g. select title,visit_count,site_name,url,description,last_visit_date from moz_places where url like '%support%';

But there is no simple (AFAIK) way to convert 'last_visit_date' (an integer) to something human readable.

So either include the whole selection when something is copied (WYSIWYG) or provide export history as an html file.

Any suggestions?

When I put a video or an image gallery to full screen, the navigation buttons, clock, and status bar don't hide.

They often appear as though they're going to hide, for a split second, but frustratingly bounce right back into view.

On rare occasions, it seems to be random chance, the status bar, clock, and navigation buttons do hide, but I don't know how to get them to hide every time.

I've already tried disabling picture in picture for the app but that has not helped.

What are the reasons the buttons and clock would not hide in full screen? How would we go about fixing things?

I have not received my new emails and have tried different options to get it to work. It also says I have 300+ emails in trash but they don't show up for deletion. I have tried restoring default, I tried troubleshooting and nothing has worked. It all started yesterday afternoon when I tried to get my emails. They are in the server but are not loading on my Thunderbird page
