Thunderbird hanging since update (win10)
Since the recent big Thunderbird update, my copy of Thunderbird has started freezing for about 30 seconds at a time frequently when I try to read a new message, get messages, or drag messages from my inbox to a folder. This was never a problem before the update to 115. I'm not sure what information would be useful to help diagnose the issue, but I'm happy to answer questions that could help. Thanks! Joel

Try to start Windows 10 in safe mode with networking enabled.
Does the problem go away?
Windows safe mode disables anti-virus software. This is a troubleshooting step, not a solution.

What is your anti-virus software?
I'm running Malwarebytes Premium 4.6.7 and Microsoft Defender Antivirus (on Windows 10).

Thanks for the suggestion. I just tried it, and it did seem to fix the problem.
