Several times lately I click on an email from cnet and it will not load. The reason is when Thunderbird passes the link to Firefox there is an extra https// added to the beginning: https//https//cnet... . Not all email links from cnet start with https//, but when they do I must manually delete the first one (in Firefox). Not sure which program, Thunderbird or Firefox, is causing the problem, but it is annoying.

I use Thunderbird for mail.cablespeed.com email accounts as well as a gmail account. The last few days all outgoing messages on the cablespeed accounts do not go, instead I get this error message:

Sending of the message failed. An error occurred while sending mail. The mail server responded: [VO-1] Message blocked due to spam content in the message.. Please check the message and try again.

What is happening? What can I do about it? Tech support (such as it is) from Astound Broadband, the current owner of cablespeed, says that they have ended the use of all 3rd party email clients...without notification. They want me to use their web email. My contacts are on Thunderbird, my email folders are on Thunderbird. What a headache. The gmail account works as it should on Thunderbird.

This is new. What can I do?

When I try to download messages on one of several POP3 accounts I get the error message Unable to write the email to the mailbox. Make sure the file system allows you write privileges, and you have enough disk space to copy the mailbox. and it keeps downloading the last message I received before the problem started.

I have tried repairing the folder, clearing cache and even turning off my anti-virus for Thunderbird but to no avail. No problems on my other accounts

My @gn.apc.org (IMAP) inbox has a limited capacity to display, to keep important email. They simply drop-off the list. It currently saves only today's emails. This cannot be correct. I have attached a timeline. Appreciate some info & advice

I have installed the German language extension . I can go to a sight written in German and it translates fine . THE SECOND I USE ANY SUB MENU WITHIN THE SIGHT IT DOES NOT TRANSLATE . right clicking and "translate" does not work since "translate" does not exist on the tab .

The firefox translate feature only works on the initial screen !

Is it possible to get different sounds for different accounts?

I use Thunderbird on my computer and have several email accounts. Is it possible to get a different sound for incoming mail in each account? If so, how?

I use Thunderbird for 18 email accounts and I have the "Inbox" of each of them in the "Favorite Folders" list. I would like to put them in the order of my preference, e.g. ones I use most on top of those I use seldom. It seems like I ought to be able to just click and drag them into order, but that doesn't work. How can I do that?

Firefox is synced on all my computers. Same version. Same extensions. I can't login on my primary desktop as of last night 5/23/24. I can login/watch Prime on my laptop. My desktop gives me the attached error.

I can't get smtp to work with multiple yahoo accounts. When I get the account settings window, it shows the correct smtp server for yahoo. (smtp.mail.yahoo.com) but when I click on the edit SMTP button, there is a section called "Security and Authentication" section with 3 lines

     User Name:                             [*****1@cox.net]  (My accounts were transferred from COX to Yahoo)

If I edit the SMTP on any of my cox accounts, it changes them all to the same user name. If I want to send mail from any cox account, I have to go to account settings first and edit the smtp and put in the correct account. This is very tedious.

I have noticed that my gmail accounts do the same thing, but gmail doesn't care. Here is the error I get when sending mail before going to account settings first to change the account.

Shoot!! I just filled this out, and somehow, it reverted me back to This screen again!! I am not a programmer or IT Guy. What I am is a person that is Very alert to sudden changes in my experiences. I retired 14 years ago, as a Manager in a Manufacturing industry. Very familiar using desktop. For some reason, about a couple weeks ago, some of my sites have begun using google adds, over and over. When I click on the "X", wants to know why, etc. I use Malware Bytes, scans every day. Does NOT discover any malware, but I KNOW something has changed to allow the bombardment! Is it possible it's just a single site that I had to change and log in to? Even if so, WHY doesn't Malware stop them? Should I try a system restore to weeks ago?
