Web sites from email on my MacBook Pro (2009) go to Safari even though FireFox and Safari have FireFox as default browser.

I installed Chrome and the sites from email went to Chrome. I uninstalled Chrome and the sites now go to Safari. Both FireFox and Safari have FireFox as default browser.
