I have spectrum webmail on the tb's homepage but it cannot send or receive emails from other accounts. It says "cannot connect to nycap.rr.com". Unfortuneately it never says why it can't connect.

I haven't been getting new emails for several days, and my sent mail is not going out. I'm on a MacBook Pro running Sonoma 14.4.1. and Thunderbird 115.9.0 (64-bit). My isp provider is FRII and I've been able to read my mail on their program call SOGo.

When scheduling on Calendar, it is set to "Contacts," and I have to manually click on that box and change it to my e-mail each time I schedule something. I can't find how to make my e-mail the default. Help?

When I try to move emails from my inbox to another folder, they come back. I have also tried copy and delete. They still come back. I have tried doing the folder repair, but it doesn't do anything but waste time.

How can I synchronize my address book across my devices running Thunderbird? I had an app called ZZAddresses that worked well for 10 years or so, until it quit. Does anybody know what happened to it, or what I can use instead? Is Tbird's promised synchronizer going to be real?

Hello, I added my iCloud account (Mail and calendar) to Thunderbird. At this moment, I'm not able to accept invitations to the iCloud calendar. Is there any way to fix it, or what should I do? I would love it if anyone could advise me on how to do it.

why om last updates all my hotmail accounts keep asking me for passwords ? everytime i need to login... your older version was best then this.. i think you make updates with problems , how can i get the older version only ?

I cannot get K9 to accept that I do not have a password verification for my e mail account.When K9 automatically configures my account IMAP and outgoing server it asks for password which I don't have

When using Thunderbird and completing an email chat, I go back to do regular PC work. Later when needing another email I open Thunberbird and it always opens the last email. I was finished with that. How do I get it to open on the main page, not on the last email. Thanks,

I just upgraded to MacOs Sonoma 14.3.1, and all of a sudden my "normal" Thunderbird notification sound became an obnoxious, loud sound that I can't stand. I went into Thunderbird sound settings and discover that the incoming mail "play the following sound file" box option is greyed out. It seems like Sonoma wants to do it's own thing... I've tried going into my Mac's system settings, and under "sound," I can choose various alert sounds, but none do anything to change the Thunderbird notification sound. I called AppleCare, and they don't seem to know anything about it yet. I guess more folks need to bring Sonoma notification issues to their attention asap... My question: Is there a way under Thunderbird's (v115.7.1) sound settings to "un-grey-out" this "play the following sound file" in order to overide what the new MacOs is doing? Thanks, Jack

I am trying to set up my Yahoo account with Thunderbird. I enter the email ad password and nothing happens. There are no popups. Just the checking password. I also tried generating an app password from yahoo and using it and it didn't work either

Not sure why the computer will delete several sentences when trying to add a word or coma to the sentence. At times whole paragraphs have disappeared. Please help because we have lost important information.

Hi, I would like to eliminate table borders when I reply to a message, or when I forward it. I have tried putting some css code in UserContent.css. For example for "blockquote[type="cite"] table" I use !important. But the borders always remain. Which tag can I use to get border: none ?
