Keep losing my emails on my pc after 3 weeks using Thunderbird. Tried checking settings many times but cannot fixed the problem. I basically want to keep my emails permanently on my pc once downloaded from my email server. Also I once downloaded I want to clear emails from the email server which has only got a limited capacity. Please help or advice where the settings are to do the above thanks a lot. I have already spent many hours on this but cannot figure this out. After 3 weeks Thurderbird removed all my emails on my pc

Hi, every time i upload csv file to run in local outbox, it sends email on the basis of time . Is there anyway to sort emails by correspondent name and send it accordingly.

• I know i can rearrange emails in csv before uploading it to local outbox. still, i would like to understand, if there is any way to arrange emails by correspondent name and send accordingly.

Is there anyway to reset the dates or remove the dates from drafts. i have multiple emails to send, and for some reason , I would like to either give same date/time to the selected emails or completely remove it.

This button has never worked for me. If I want to manually check for emails, I have to use the down arrow beside it and select one of my two email addresses. Do I need to check a box somewhere in both account settings to tell Thunderbird to use the control?

I am trying to create an HTML signature block. I need to add an image to my signature. In the Help for adding signatures, it says to use the menu item 'Insert > Image'. I cannot find any such menu item.

The version of my Thunderbird is 91.9.1

Please indicate where I can find this function.

is there a setting for mail composition that shows a line ending symbol for the email's content? I mean something like the pilcrow (looks like a reversed uppercase P letter) in Microsoft Word.

Or is there an add-on for that?

Your system is a DOG, I had to reset my laptop and when I reinstalled Thunderbird, I didnt know there was box to Check/uncheck about leaving emails on your server, so to dumped all my emails older than 14 days.

I did try the forum to try and find a repair and only got 1 comment from a Matthew ( I think)

Total waste of time!!!!!

I have swapped to Outlook, cost a little but far better for safety.

I would like to hide the "Switch to the calendar tab" and "Switch to the tasks tab" toolbar buttons that appear in the Thunderbird 91 top bar (title bar?).

I've tried the methods suggested for prior Thunderbird versions that employ userChrome.css, and they do not work.

Is it possible to hide these toolbar items?

Hello I try to move emails with the filter function (from x to z). Both folders exist. I can not choose the destination folder. It is dimmed and says "Destination folder not available". Thank you Heinrichxx

For years when I compose an email, my address book appeared on the left column.

Somehow today it disappeared. How can I get it back to the above location when composing an email?

There is a website that I block every day from my email. And every day it shows up again with the same email address. I use the message filter "from, contains" . Yet every day the same web site appears.

The site is " newsletter@zerohedge.com". How is the site bypassing my message filter? Other sites I block do not do this.

I have a Mozilla Thunderbird email client, which has been linked to my Microsoft Outlook account using IMAP for years, and has operated perfectly well for my personal preferences.

At some point overnight (26th / 27th May) this stopped working and I am now presented with the error message "Sending of password for user xxx@xxxxxxx.co.uk did not succeed. Mail server outlook.office365.com responded: Logon failure: unknown user name or bad password" when trying to download mail.

This is very strange as I can log in directly to my Outlook account using the same user name and password. No settings were changed by me in either Mozilla or Outlook.

For information, I can still send messages from Thunderbird but not now receive them.

I can't for the life of me find out how to stop Thunderbird from deleting my emails form Thunderbird and my email server. I use to think it was after 30 days but my oldest email is from May 11th, today is the 26th. So maybe it's a set size limit. My email is through my web hosting provider and it is set to unlimited. When I asked them they said there's a setting on an email client that is deleting my emails. How do I fix this? I have tried to delete the email account and add it again from scratch but that didn't do anything. Many times I need to access older emails from my customers that are just gone.

I know another person mentioned this before but I didn't see a resolved answer, only that he created a new folder to import his old messages to. Which I don't see how to do that but also feel that's just a band-aid type fix. I want my emails to stop being deleted automatically, only if I delete them.

The email composing window includes Write: in the title (before the actual email title). How can I remove this part from the title?

The space I have on my device is narrow where I can see the titles of the emails being composed and I would like to see only the email title in that location, without the "Write:" portion. Does anyone know how I can achieve this?

I have 2 Gmail accounts and each has an 'Awaiting Reply' folder. Is it possible to add 'Awaiting Reply' in Unified folders for my 2 accounts, in the same way that Inbox, Draft, Sent etc are there, so that I can click on Awaiting Reply and see the emails from both accounts. Thank you

Right now, the messages in my threads pane show up in colors associated with their tags. This isn't a functionality I need and it makes it difficult for me to read a lot of the messages. I just want messages to show up in a single color -- black (or white on black would be great, but I don't know how to set a dark mode if one exists). I suppose even better would be the ability to have certain tags affect color and other not.

Any easy way of doing any of this?

Hi, I want to use Windows Task Scheduler to send command line emails via Thunderbird.

I have found only: thunderbird -compose "attachment='C:\first.txt,C:\second.txt'"

This works. But I also want to include email to, subject, text body and send.

I have tried options like Blat. Blat works but not with gmail.com as they block it. So with Thunderbird installed locally I may be able to work around the new gmail restrictions.

A very old HTML signature block with my former company name is occasionally applied to outgoing emails instead of the default specified in Thunderbird

How can I find and delete it?

FWIW, I went to Tools | Account and I find the current proper signature block is there. So I don't know where Thunderbird is dredging up the old signature block from.

I do have the Signature Switch plugin activated, but I've made sure that old signature block isn't in there.

Any help will be appreciated: this is embarrassing when it happens and I send the email without noticing the bad signature.

How do I to Change Column Widths in Message List in Thunderbird v100.0.2 (64bit)? I want to Resize my Message List Columns to make viewing my folder of emails to my uses. Some columns with more space and others with less.
