I have Firefox 118.1.0. I am unable to access file:///data/data/org.mozilla.firefox/files/mozilla/ in the browser's address bar. How would I access this? I wanted the bookmarks file.

When trying to open a bookmarked site, for example "https://mstdn.social/@noelreports", it suggests the site up until having typed in "noe". So, I can type in "n", "o" and "e" and get it suggested all the time. But as soon as "l" is added, the suggestion disappears. But this "l" is part of both the page title and the address, so that is really strange. Very irregularly, when I delete the last letter and retype it, the bookmark suddenly appears. On the synced Windows 10 installation of Firefox, everything works flawlessly.

Hello, I recently tried to create an account to sync everything in firefox on my phone, but after a few attempts the account page just wouldn't load, so I decided to update the app because it was quite some time ago since I last updated it.

But right after the update, everything's gone: bookmarks, history, tabs. I was brought to a getting started page like I never installed firefox. I checked the bookmarks/history options but nothing was there. Shouldn't the app preserve its existing data even after an update? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

So i was browsing google to find any solution with android Firefox and bookmarks. It's 2023 and it's still impossible to move bookmarks in it. Is this some kind of a joke? So the only option is to move to Opera i guess? Can i move my bookmarks to it on my phone?

While adding a website shortcut to my home screen on Android, I changed the name (to be shown on the home screen). I later decided to use a slightly different name, so I removed the shortcut and added it again, entering the new name. Nevertheless, the shortcut is now always added with the original custom name. This is also the case when I leave the name unchanged in a later attempt. I get the same results with multiple sites. I get the same results after closing Firefox, restarting my phone and emptying the Firefox cache. Even thought the shortcut on the home screen is probably not actually a bookmark, I tried bookmarking the site, and changing the name of the existing bookmark - with the same results. Is there a way I can choose a different name for the home screen shortcut, or this a bug? Background: I am now manually adding shortcuts to my home screen after getting a new phone (Pixel 7a). I had have mostly the same shortcuts on my previous phone (Pixel 3a XL). The shortcuts were kind-of(!) transferred to my new phone: they appear in the same home screen folders as on my old phone, but gray. When I try to open them, I get the message: "Couldn't restore shortcut because app doesn't backup and restore". Is there a way to transfer (all) home screen shortcuts? If not, please consider adding support for backup or automatic migration.

Just migrated to Pixel 7 Android. Was able to sync my logins and passwords from my PC. However Boomarks didn't sync even though I selected/checked them to be synced. Why not? How do I get my PC boomarks to appear on a Pixel 7?

I'm seeking assistance with managing my bookmarks on Firefox for Android. I've been a Firefox user for some time, and I've accumulated a significant collection of bookmarks that I really wouldn't want to lose. However, I'm a bit unsure about the process of importing and exporting bookmarks on the mobile version of the browser. I've looked around, but I can't seem to find the feature. Am I overlooking something? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Apparently Firefox mobile is different than desktop. On an Android phone I want to import my chromebookmarks into Firefox? I could not find an article on how to do it but yet found other people struggling and asking the same question.

Both are logged into the same email, I have bookmark syncing on for both the phone and laptop, I've tried logging in and out, but none of the bookmarks I made on computer show up on the mobile browser.

in which file does Firefox Nightly save the bookmarks? And why is it still not possibly after so many years, to export them easily as a file?

Hello A little while ago I noticed that my bookmarks from this accound disappeared. I didn't deleted them. In fact I haven't done anything with them for years. But they are precious to me and I would like to ask if you have copy of them or could you bring them back on my account by any chance? (There were lots of them. I use to keep Bookmarks until I specially deleted them. As Bookmarks they stayed. Now when I do automatic search daily delation, the Bookmarks are also removed! I am not an EE but is there some easy way to separate these 2 so I can keep Bookmarks yet delete Search History? Thank you. A Bookmark to me is not permanent or ephemeral but totally under my control like on a book I put back on the self. What is a Bookmarks to Mozilla Firefox?

the story here is I had my OS drive on my desktop completely fail, wouldn't write, wouldn't read, didn't have anything too important just games EXCEPT for the backups to my bookmarks, i got a new drive and installed firefox. when i logged in, my bookmarks weren't there and it synced with my mobile firefox and the bookmarks that i had before my OS drive failed on my phone also disappeared, Im just wondering if firefox mobile has backups of bookmarks and if It does how do I replace these backups on my mobile and if possible use the backups on mobile to fix my bookmarks on my pc.
