Hi, current version is 100.0.2. Running on Win 10 (10.0.19044 build 19044). Have refreshed Firefox and also tried a clean install - problem still exists. Have done a scan using HouseCall - no gremlins found. For the last few weeks my browser has been playing up. After a few minutes pages would basically stop loading, clicking on a new link would open a new window but nothing would load. Disabled my Ad Blocker extensions (I had two) and issue resolved itself. Re-enabled Ad blocker (AdGuard AdBlocker) and problem returned. Disabled it, problem went, tried Ghostery (not used before), issue returned. Both extensions are recommended. Similar issue exists on my work computer - one ad blocker and after a few site visits pages no longer load, and links no longer react to a click, home button no longer works. I close and open and I get told firefox is already running and do I want to close it before opening again. Pretty sure it's not just my home computer. Any help would be welcomed.

When opening History the column headers are there but no dates are shown in the Added and Last Modified columns. These columns are selected in Views and the listed web pages appear to be correctly sorted into Added date order. My browser is up to date an is 100.0.2 64 bit. Thanks

I am still stumped as to why Firefox crashes, IF and that's a big IF, my session is restored, why my tabs are blank but the website names are still on the tabs. Click to reload sometimes works, while other times it doesn't. Google, Facebook, Twitter, WordPress websites I am logged into and others will not load anymore for at least an hour. The only way to access them is to open a private window. What is happening to this browser that causes these sites to not load anymore? Any clearing the browser history/cache doesn't bring these sites back. They will only come back an hour after the crash. I've also cleared my ISP cache too (ipconfig/flushdns).

I am an employer and use Indeed website to hire staff. I can log into my Indeed web account and can access all webpages except the Jobs webpage, the most fundamental part of this exercise.

I contacted Indeed and phone rep said to use Google Chrome which worked easily.

I am a dedicated Firefox user and do not want to use Google Chrome. Please fix this access problem which forces an employer to use Chrome to hire his workers.

So weird, in the last few days, I've had intermittent behavior using FF.

Some examples - I log into my Gmail account, and it works for several minutes and then goes unresponsive and I can't get new mail, when I click the refresh icon or refresh the browser. - Last 3 days, when I click a hyperlink in an email, a new browser tab opens, but it's blank, the url doesn't seem to pass to the new tab - When I type a search term in browser address bar and hit enter, the tab refreshes but nothing happens... e.g. https://www.google.com/search?client=firefox-b-1-d&q=firefox

Troubleshooting steps tried. - Disabled all extensions - Started to uninstall FF, but got prompted to "refresh firefox" instead, which I did yesterday, but still have the same problems...

I can access Gmail and other functionality works fine on Chrome on same laptop. I've used different laptop with FF and it works fine, both machines on the same network....

" error image " connection procedure with OTP failed. Please be sure that your browser allow you storing od cookies and try again.

This does not occur using chrome or edge ...

settings are checked ok, nothing changed recently

I never want to see this content again and am considering switching browsers.

I don't want to see or think about ads, i don't want to know what getpocket is. I don't want chefs plate and their columbiahouse 2.0 bullshit product. It is absolute trash.

I do not want to see these things. Ever. Again.

If there is no way to remove these things from my browser its time to go back to chrome.

When downloading files from within Firefox, the option "Always ask you where to save files" seems to have stopped working recently. (Since version 98 or 99.) Sometimes it appears the selected files don't download at all, and other times it looks like they get downloaded to the Downloads folder. Still others, especially .pdf files, get downloaded to some unknown location, and then get opened in another application. I experienced no problems up until just the last week or two.

My system disk failed, so I had to restore it from pretty old backup, with old Firefox version installed and old profile data. Now I want to start Firefox and reopen all my recent tabs from Firefox Sync, but not from my local (old) profile. How should I proceed?

Per an article on yahoo news, I decided to clear data by going to: Settings->Privacy & Security->Cookies&Site Date->clear data

In hindsight, this turned out to be a mistake. Previously when using yahoo mail, it let me stay logged in for two weeks. Now I have to log in each time. There are also 2 or 3 other sites that logged me in automatically, but now have to log in every time.

How can I undo what I did?

I managed to restore the single-spacing for bookmarks, kept a prior version of FF, and fought off nags to update every time I opened FF . . . until now when I was tricked into "allowing this app to make updates to your PC". It wasn't the usual nag button and I thought it was some kind of simple bug fix, but no, I was "upgraded" to v. 100.0.2 and my bookmark spacing fix was overwritten. Furious isn't strong enough to describe my reaction. All this time, and all the other complaints, yet I find no way to decrease the excessive spacing between bookmarks. I understand that this design may be better for those who use a finger on their screens, but what about us mouse-pointer users? Why are we so disrespected? What can I do to decrease the space between bookmarks?

Hi, I've just spent all day trying to follow all the different suggestions here regarding these issues. Adding all sorts of things to the userChrome CSS but 95% of the suggestions have no effect at all [I'm seriously non-technical, so I have no idea if I'm doing it correctly though...probably not] The only thing that I can change is the Tab Height...nothing else changes regardless of what numbers I put in there. The only way I've been able to make the Bookmarks folders usable at all is to enable Compact mode via about:config. But that actually makes it way too compact now...from one extreme to the other. At least it's usable now...so not the end of the world, but the right click menu still has way too much space between every entry [Compact mode made no difference to that at all]. I don't know how to make a screenshot of those menus :) so I took a couple of pics of the screen...can someone please show me what to add to the CSS file to make these ridiculously big spaces between the menu items way smaller...like they used to be before this Proton came in? I tried tons of things that people said to add to the CSS to fix this menu spacing thing but none of them changed anything. I'll include the CSS file that I have below. Thanks a lot

I was quite unhappy with the new Firefox Proton design, so I made a CSS file and copied the following code from a website. However, I don't know what to do to (1) slightly reduce the tab height, (2) get back tab borders for inactive tabs and (3) remove the small gaps between tabs. How exactly do I have to change the following code to do so (ideally, for convenience, please just complete the code accordingly)? Thanks in advance for any support!

I'm not sure what happened in the latest update, but it broke the Canvas website that I use regularly for classes and homework. I've checked and confirmed that Canvas still works normally on Microsoft edge.

Extensions shouldn't affect the website because Canvas was working normally until the recent Firefox update.

Anyone know how to solve this problem?

Hi I'm using Firefox to open PDF files from a network directory. The reason is that it's probably the best PDF manager I can find.

• What I wanted to do was have an option to open the file in a native viewer such as Adobe, this way look at 2 parts of the document at the same time.

At the same time keep it in Firefox.

Is there a setting to do this or an add-on. The add-ons I've seen are meant to open directly to Adobe from a web link I think.
