Hi,

I looking to get Firefox to open up a PDF in the browser WITHOUT downloading the file. The reason for this is because I want to bookmark the PDF allowing access to an up-to-date version of a document.

I have selected the option to ask where to the save file in the settings. I have also set the application settings for PDF to 'always ask'. So, when I open the link, I get a window prompt asking me to select 1 of 3 options: view in Firefox, view in selected application, or save. I select view in Firefox and it still downloads and opens the file.

I definitely know Firefox used to open up PDFs AS links because I have some bookmarked. Any suggestions on why this is and how to fix would be greatly appreciated.

firefox "100.0.1" keeps freezing non responsive have to shut it down through task manager, it happens all the time. it happens at random. I have uninstalled and I have used trouble shooter I have refreshed firefox nothing helps.

I recently purchased a dell refurbished computer, I set it up went and downloaded fire fox without any trouble. I restarted computer today and it would not accept password I called DiscountcomputerDepot.com help and they helped me to restart and they told me they would have to reinstall windows from computer. So I lost all my programs. when it restarted said would have to update windows. Hello everyone! I have a question concerning what the default value settings are for the two below security.tls.versions in About:Config. Mine are currently set at 4 for version.max and 3 for version.min. The reason I ask is that I have gotten two Event 36871 errors since updating Firefox to 100.0.1 stating "A fatal error occurred while creating a TLS client credential. The internal error state is 10013." I was using no other program besides Firefox at the time I received the errors.

FF uses all memory. I start computer. Start FF to blank page. No Internet connection. No other programs running. Ran memtest before - all Crucial RAM good. If I leave FF on, doing nothing all RAM will be used. Linuxmint 20.3, FF 100. Does this happen with Windows or Mac?

Firefox is not hiding page elements behind the scrollbar.

I notice this when using Plex, the posters appear over the top of the scrollbar when they should be hidden. I only see this issue with Firefox and no other browser.

Any help would be appreciated.

I have this problem with both Firefox and Edge, private mode or not. After logging at addons.mozilla.org, it's requiring me to setup 2-factor. I go through the process and everything is successful. It asks me to enter one recovery code to make sure I'll be able to login. I enter one and it shows on the top with a green background that 2-factor was setup successfully. But then nothing happens. No redirection or links. I try accessing the site in another browser and I have to go through the whole setup again which also appears successful, but then nothing happens. I attached the image that shows it was successful. I have no idea what to do since there is no error and I have the same problem across multiple browsers. Any suggestions?

whenever I try to use a theme that defaulted to dark mode in the previous update, it defaults to light mode instead. for some websites this means that it displays in bright white. i need dark mode. even when i set the toolbar colour (which previously controlled dark/light in Firefox Colour) to black it's on light mode. how do I get dark mode back, i hate this. this theme (picture attached) used to be dark mode but now it defaults to light. how do i get dark mode back.

Why I can't I see this? or where can I find it?

Various Fire Fox sources say I need to set up an Firefox Syn account and that I can make a selection to do this in Firefox preferences. However this is no option for this available. There is a single option labeled sync but it doe does not synchronize my laptop to my account and none of my bookmarks etc are up to date.

Foxfire (100.0) is unstable on my MacBook Air M1 OS 11.3.1. It frequently slows down its loading of site data, to the point of timing out Or simply crashing. At other times it is completely normal.

Of the 3 in the house, this is the one connected to the incoming router from the ISP. The other two are connected by wifi, also using FireFox but completely free of the laptop’s seizing up. I have sent in a dozen FF Crash Reports

Even on the laptop, when slowed down to a crawl, the Ookla speed test shows the ISP’s full connection speed of 250MB/s

The problem has survived: • clearing the OS’s DNS cache • running it on the wifi mesh (disconnected from the Ethernet hardwire)at the other end of the house • refreshing FF using “Troubleshooting Info” • clearing FF StartUp cache • clearing FF Cashed Web Content (which quickly climbs back to ~800MB — is this a reasonable load?)

It is now asking me to confirm whether, with CMD-Q pressed, I really want to quit. I am in HTTPS-only mode, and it fails to recognize an HTTPS url, asking if I want to continue on to the HTTP site.

The laptop has run FF for 16-18 months before this showed up. Possibly at the time when I started to delete all cookies (with exceptions) at quitting FF, and enabling HTTPS-Only mode. But reverting these also makes no difference.

Do I have to ditch FF and use Safari?

Hello, I use a website, MySubaru.com, that has always loaded on my iMac (10.12). Lately what I get is a blank screen whether from the bookmark or the website in Google. Strangely enough, the site loads fine using Safari and on my MacBook and iPhone. Any suggestions? Thank you, Eric

Firefox has become so secure I can no longer use it for work. I spend so much of my time allowing links to be opened from clients, etc. Has anyone found a simple work around for all the freezes etc?

I use to click on PDF files and they would open and not download to my download folder. Well now every time i click on a PDF file it downloads it. I have tried every option in settings/general/apps and they still download in a folder. So I thought I would try MS edge and it does the same thing. Is it not the browser and was it in a MS update? It has never done this before. I don't want all these PDF files downloaded!

Hello, I am having problems with my VGLI site. Every time I try logging in it times out, Is there a way to stop that from happening. My internet connection is sound and working properly. And I've confirmed the correct address.

This is the error that I am concerned about. If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure that Firefox is permitted to access the Web. How do I check or update that information?
