When I use the `--search` CLI option, Firefox searches the supplied term in a new window.

I want it to open itself in a new tab instead, so I tried out the following combination of CLI options:

``` $ firefox --new-tab --search "example" ```

Firefox does search for the given term, but it opens itself in a new window instead of a new tab, thus ignoring the `--new-tab` option.

Am I doing something wrong?

Thunderbird fails to access comcast.net email accounts after years of working correctly. Version 115.10.1. I have tried changing the password many times after talking to Comcast support. The best they can do is suggest I contact you.

In a recent email Thunderbird sees an HTML message as plain text, and does not decode it. The message is decoded by my phone using "Email - Fast & Secure Mail by Edison Software". See attached screenshot. Normally Thunderbird suceeds where phone apps fail.

Firefox on my pc loads Ebay.com with Chinese characters, not English.

This ONLY happens on PC (mobile phone is fine, same firefox browser) only with firefox (Duck Duck Go on my pc works fine) and ONLY when opening Ebay.

Problem started 4/29. I have done: computer update/restart, firefox update/restart, clear cache in firefox

Every time I open Firefox another blank window opens behind the main Firefox pages . I see it when I close Firefox so have to close that too. There is no URL in the window just a blank page.

I have played "Hero Wars,Dominion Era " for years on Fire Fox...They did an "update" last week(Thursday or friday 04/25-26?24)and I haven't been able to log onto the game itself since...I can still open the Hero wars home page,I can get into my "discord" chat etc etc etc,but I cannot get into my individual game.(If it helps,my Hero wars game ID # is 10920140)...I had to start playing the game itself on Google Chrome...I am hopeing you can help find a solution as everything I do is from Fire Fox & I really don't like chrome :(...PLEASE Help me resolve this if possible! Scenario: I have two E-Mails configured in thunderbird. For simplicity, let's assume they are: `alice@gmail.com` and `bob@cock.li` .

I have configured both via SMTP, and they are *totally different* SMTP servers (Gmail vs. cock.li)

If I compose a message from "alice@gmail.com" to "bob@cock.li", then when I reply from Bob's inbox in Thunderbird, everything is OK.

However, if I compose a message from "alice@gmail.com" to "bob.extra@cock.li", using the `.` alias feature of cock.li, then although Bob gets the message in his inbox, clicking "Reply" will actually set "From" as "alice@gmail.com" and "To" as "bob.extra@cock.li" !

To be very clear: this happens when clicking reply in Bob's inbox in Thunderbird.

I think this is a Thunderbird issue because:

• It happens even if I compose the E-Mail from Alice's webmail (i.e. Browser) (Note: Alice still exists in Thunderbird)
• It DOES NOT happen if Alice DOES NOT exist in Thunderbird
• It DOES NOT happen if I try and reply as Bob via cock.li's webmail (i.e. Browser)

My guess is somehow when Thunderbird sees both Alice and Bob as valid accounts in Thunderbird, but the recipient was an aliased version of Bob, it somehow gets confused.

Is there a way to search ALL emails for everything received in the last 1 day, last 3 days etc, whether or not the folder is subscribed?

I just had a big problem finding particular new emails. The reason was that that somehow the folder had got unsubscribed. This shocked me because I hadn't even realised I needed to subscribe to folders to search them.

In a practical sense the problem is therefore fully solved and all I need to do is to make sure I'm subscribed to everything. But I find it disturbing that anything could undermine the very simple search of what emails I received today. So I'd like to understand if there is indeed any way to see all of today's emails without any exception.

The search I was using was "Age in days in less than 2" and I was doing this both with "Run search on server" ticked and unticked. The emails are all there on the server, so surely there must be a way to see them in a raw naked state before they are sorted into folders? I guess the global search is able to do just that, but as far as I can see it doesn't seem able to search by any kind of date range (can filter but not search).

Shortly after the 115.10.1 update, I've noticed that emails are downloading, but either only a few show in the Inbox or none at all. I've never had this problem with Thunderbird before. Is there some invisible spam/junk folder that I'm unaware of?

I'm using POP with Dreamhost. Is anyone experiencing these disappearing emails?

I had to completely reset my pc and APP Data ahs been deleted to all the Local folders went with it. I had an IMAP setting, Is there any way I can retrieve content from server or from Thunderbird? Thank you

I've got a really old MacBook Pro that's still running 10.13, and Firefox has started displaying a nag screen telling me that this version is no longer supported, and to install a newer version of MacOS.

Is there something in the advanced settings that will stop it nagging me? I now know it's not going to get any more updates, there's no need to keep telling me every 20 minutes...

(Note to the devs: a "don't remind me again" checkbox would be nice for things like this!)

The only solution is for software makers to roll out, every 5 or 6 years, a "stable version" where the user interface will not change one iota for 25 years. Of course, they must still make internal updates for security and changes in the Internet Protocol layer system. The portions of the code that deal with the user must be modular to be plugged into newer hardware and communication protocols.

When someone is diagnosed with memory impairment, they will have time to learn the latest Stable Version.

This is a very fundamental change to business as usual, but there is no other solution other than continuing to balloon the cost of elder car.

after updating newest the version of Firefox the option to" restore previous windows opened " does not work. Is there a work around when I close my browser and then reopen the browser so that all the tabs that I had opened before closing my browser return as if I never left?I went into my setting and have the "open previous tabs" is checked. I need major help, please.

I am getting the attached messages when trying to send an email. Thunderbird worked perfectly yesterday morning, but then would not send any emails. I get emails, but cannot send from my 2 accounts.

I am on the latest version of Thunderbird, Supernova 115.10.1

Also, I cannot find out where to change my password for the accounts, because at times I need to fill in a password. I can't find it.
