After opening a page, Firefox gave a warning that "Shockwave Flash is vulnerable and needs to be updated". I went to get.adobe.com and updated it to 17.0.0.169, but the warning was repeated and the content blocked. I checked youtube, which would play music and two test do-it-yourself tutorial videos without problem, but still repeated the block warning. I checked the Addons Manager, which indicated that Flash needed to be updated, but when I checked adobe it said I had the most recent update. Under Addons Manager for Flash, "always activate" grayed out, the option "ask to activate" selected but grayed when I clicked the drop-down button, and the option "never activate" the standard black text.

After seeing a few other similar issues recently, I tried the "Forcing a Blocklist Ping" answer https://wiki.mozilla.org/Blocklisting/Testing#Forcing_a_Blocklist_Ping ...which returned "Undefined" in the Browser Console and did not have any affect on the issue.

I've used the built-in PDF viewer in firefox for quite a while to view PDFs without the need for a plug-in. But with FF38, that no longer works. The PDF just gets downloaded even though the option is set to preview in firefox. If I enable the Adobe plug-in, I can view the file but the browser is supposed to be able to handle this, and did quite nicely for quite a while.

I have a page that is loaded through apps.facebook.com

There are two paths that this page can be accessed from: apps.facebook.com/ProductionPage apps.facebook.com/DevelopmentPage (Not the actual urls, just used as an example)

I was using document.referrer to determine if the page was loaded through the Development path and if so load some debuging code. Now firefox was updated so document.referrer only returns the domain without the path. Is there any way or workarounds to get that path from the document.referrer?

I entered Full Screen mode on a website and now cannot get out of it. Restarting my computer doesn't help. Problem only exists when using Firefox, not other browsers. Firefox continues to open in Full Screen everytime I open it, and I have to restart in order to use another browser.

Adobe Flash player Crashes

I am running Win7Pro, Firefox 38.0.5 and Adobe Flash 18 NPAPI.

Firefox will not run Adobe Flash content. Please advise how to fix. I have attempted to update adobe several time to no avail.

I go to the little magnifying glass to try to select a search engine, but the icon is unresponsive. I've tried to go to options to reset Search, but I can't get Search to respond there either. I don't know what else to do. I've removed and reloaded Firefox several times but that doesn't seem to help.

I have gone through the procedure listed in the troubleshooting crashes section but I still have the issue of firefox crashing when I try to open google maps. I previously had issues with firefox crashing on v37 - the earlier issues were resolved by unchecking the "Use hardware acceleration when valid" option. This is still unchecked and although firefox has been starting up since I made that change the issue with google maps has been occurring on v38. I am now at the current version. Your help would be greatly appreciated.

My problem is basically gmail related. When I click back to INBOX after reading a mail, it takes a good few seconds whereas in the past it has always been instantaneous.

My other problem is the drag and drop files as an attachment in gmail. Sometimes it just won't work and I have to use the manual paper-clip attachment icon. However, if I restart firefox and re-connect gmail, it will work again.

I also noticed that when you drag a picture into the mail window, it will not become an attachment but will be displayed instead. Is there someway where I can choose to have pictures inserted as attachments rather than displayed in the mail?

On some web pages eg http://www.zen169231.zen.co.uk/jimsplace/beginwinders.htm (and others), when clicking on an alternate topic, the page appears without a scroll bar and will not scroll with the mouse wheel either. This only happens in Firefox and not Safari, which I do not normally use as I prefer Firefox. Many thanks.

I've been trying to clear my browsing history but when I do, I get a pop up saying this function is disabled. I can only assume that this is because of the Disable Private Browsing Plus1.9.1-signed add-on that I have. For some strange reason, this is the ONLY add-on without the Options, Disable and Remove buttons. How can I regain the ability to clear my browsing history?

I've installed "Easy Screen Shot" but after installing it twice, I can't find a way to start the program. It was sponsored by mozilla so I though it would be the one to use. Any reply would be appreciated. Thanks!

Hence I can't do any web searching, but it displays no problem whatsoever if I click on a stored bookmark. This happens with any open tabs and the page is refreshed the instant any search button is used, whether there is an address or not. Can the refresh page feature be turned off?.

I tried it on my laptop and it would load BUT after being undated to 38.05 it also failed to load this page.

Other secure pages (bank) load OK

Works OK in Chrome and IE

I have Firefox Version 38.05 on Windows 7 and have refreshed, tried enabling a new HTTP cache.checked out the add-ons and still having the same problems The above statement about slow loading on my Firefox occurs on my desktop , but not on my laptop Windows 7. I Have tried all the recommended solutions and so far nothing works. Is there a possibility that some other programs could be in conflict with Firefox? This problem has been ongoing for several months and my patience is wearing thin. Any suggestions, fixes or advice? Thank you

I have a little bit of a problem that is not appearing on any other computer. I am running Windows 7 and on one of my computers in the office and it is showing in Mozilla Firefox Adobe Flash Played being updated and outdated at the exact same time. I have the latest flash player installed which is 18.0.0.194, yet it is still listing Adobe Flash Player 17.0.9.18 and is saying it is outdated. I have checked my system along with a few technicians as well and it is very clear that only Flash Player 18.0.0.194 is installed on my system for both Internet Explorer and Firefox. We are at a loss as to what is going on or why this is showing this type of error. I don't even have Adobe Flash 17.0.9.18 installed on the system. With the computer still up in the shop after a week and doing a ton of research in the forums we are all at a loss for what is happening. We have tried uninstalling Firefox and reinstalling and that did not help. We also tried uninstalling Adobe Flash and reinstalling a fresh version of it as well. None of these is resolving the problem. Resetting Firefox as well did not help either. Being that this is only transpiring on one computer I am finding this to be a very odd situation. Is there anyone out there that has a clue what is happening and how to fix this or is truly something that cannot be fixed? There are no viruses on the system. Yes, I tried updating via the update button as well as trying to go directly to the Adobe website itself. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
