Being a decade user of Firefox I must say that I started to hate it because the last editions hide the choice for enabling or disabling javascript. The stupid comand "about:config" leads nowhere and all previous answers are absurd. Why Mozilla decided to hide the option " turn on / turn off" javascript? It turned a previously great navigator into a stupid user unfriendly useless software. I use the internet for over 40 years and Firefox has always been my favourite. What obscure financial reasons made developers decide to hide the simple option of earlier editions? Please put back the "on/off" option for javascript. Untill then I'll use Chrome.

I have forgotten my account password. What is the simplest way to restore my bookmarks and saved passwords after I change the password?

Feeling overwhelmed by the options I found listed!

One of the main reasons I switched to regular Firefox is because Chrome always let's Amazon's stupid "influencer" vids autoplay silently. Which burns through my phone's data.

The regular Firefox didn't allow them to autoplay.

I was hoping focus would not allow them to play, and stop the other ads from showing up.

But no, focus does a much worse job than regular Firefox. It doesn't stop anything else, and it allows the influencer vids to autoplay.

Amy suggestions for making Amazon stop with the ads and video ads?

Mozilla's website states:

"Numerous features of the kiosk mode are configurable through policy or command line parameters when launching the browser."

However, other than a single example to run kiosk mode as a private window, it doesn't seem to provide any information on how to access such configuration. I couldn't seem to find the information anywhere else either.

How can I configure kiosk mode? Preferably via the CLI, but I'd be interested also to learn what is meant by "configurable through policy".

When typing in the browser, predictive text overwrites my typing, over & over. I've turned off every predictive text button I can find, but it keeps doing it. I have a Samsung Galaxy 10+. HELP!

Is there a way to not open a new tab when i hit the home button? I hit the home button when i want to leave the page i am on. I don't want the other page left open in another tab.

Once every few days (and now every day) the browser logs out of me from every site/forum where I was logged in and this starts to be really annoying, what can I do?

For some reason, when I try to autofill with stored credit card information, Firefox (99.0.1) fills the form with credit card number and expiration date when I mouse over a credit card choice, and then when I actually make the choice, the entry gets erased.

I have checked, per an earlier (now archived) question, and there is no "autocomplete off" (or any mention of "autocomplete") in the web page in question.

From what I understand firefox now supports subtitles in picture in picture mode but when I use it for youtube it doesn't work. I have enabled the captions in the advanced settings and I have tried it with all my addons disabled.

Using Outlook web, when viewing pdf documents, it displays strange symbols (incorrect font sets are probably used).

I point out that using Chrome the problem does not arise.

I also installed the microsoft fonts thinking it might solve the problem I attach illustrative image.
