So this problem keeps happening to me - I click "upload" on a website and nothing happens. For example, trying to upload photos to my website or upload files to a platform. Frustrating. To work around it I've been using a separate tab of Google chrome but it's such a pain to keep swapping back and forth. Please help!!

I haven't been able to login with MFA on my uni website and also make purchases using credit cards on commercial sites.

I have tried Troubleshooting mode and the problem persists. Switching to Opera browser showed normal functionality.

Follow up question: A while ago, I changed the autoplay settings in about:config, but I noticed they reverted to default. Do these settings reset with major browser updates? Or could it be that the settings' names changed, resulting in the default value being applied? Should I periodically check these values to ensure they haven't changed?

Issue: I updated the settings in about:config as mentioned in https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1440060 by cor-el. It appears to have stopped the autoplay of videos. However, after browsing Google News and Yahoo News articles for about 30 minutes, my browser crashes. This happens under the same usage pattern as before. The browser becomes unresponsive, and if I click on anything, I see the rainbow Apple spinning wheel. Eventually, I have to force quit the browser. See attached.

I use OnlyKey usb key as FIDO2 MFA with most of my accounts. On Firefox 123.0 on MacOS Sonoma 14.2.1 (23C71) however, I get presented with multiple pop ups to touch my usb key but the key expects only one input/touch and it fails when I touch it the second time. This was not the workflow that I used to use before and it still works fine on MacOS ventura with Firefox + protonmail.

I have had this spam pop up 2 times when I was on Facebook through Firefox through DuckDuckGo. Could someone confirm that this is spam and how to fix it? Also, I would like to report it to Firefox and I can't find how to do that either. Thank you

Firefox does not automatically create a new empty window on startup. Neither starting from "applications" nor clicking icon in the dock

Instead once has to right click the icon then click "New Window"

Why is it that the people who "improve" products are always dickering with the look and feel to no benefit to the user? Why suddenly does a new empty window not open? Fantastic job Mozilla. It takes me an hour or so to figure out how to even get a window with the default web page URL and then I have to perform forever after three clicks instead on one.

I have a suggestion. The next time you think about changing the look and feel: DON'T. It is just that simple. DON'T.

Hi, I like to know how to transfer addresses to bookmark toolbars? I have the copy all addresses of bookmarks in the previous firefox. I transferred all, but they are in one bookmark, not in toolbars, or other bookmarks. I like to set the same as the previous bookmarks. Thank you so much for your help, Miyabi

Should I use DuckDuckGo Privacy Essentials with Mozilla/Firefox? Would all of the Firefox features work the same or would DuckDuckgo replace Firefox features? If both worked together it would seem to be the best option. I would greatly appreciate some input on this.

M2 MacBook Air running macOS Ventura. When I open a website which wants access to my camera I am asked if I want to allow this. I say "Allow", and the light next to the builtin webcam turns green, but I see nothing in the camera sub-window on the webpage which was granted access. No error message, just no camera video is shown by the webpage. In the menu bar is a camera icon which I can click on and confirms I have "Allowed" camera access. Setting / Privacy / Permissions / Autoplay is set to Block Audio. I have verified the camera works with other apps (Photo Booth). How can I diagnose this?

Hey, I've noticed lack of sync in audio when pausing video. What I mean:

Assumptions: - Using bluetooth headphones (tested only on airpods pro, 2 different pairs) - system MacOS 14.2.1 - Macbook Pro M1 Pro

1. Play any video with audio (vimeo, youtube, custom players) 2. Pause

Outcome: Right headphone audio stops first Left headphone audio stops after small delay

Expected outcome: Right & Left headphone audio stops at the same time

I'm quite sensitive to things like that.. maybe someone knows a fix for this or this is just Firefox bug?

This started recently, after I installed the latest upgrade of Firefox and the video downloader. Not happening on Safari or DuckDuckGo. I suspect they have spotted I am using Firefox and are lying about the connection problem. Any suggestions welcome. thanks!

Everyone says my audio sounds distorted in google video chat. I had been using it for months without issue on Firefox, and then I got a new Apple computer and people started to tell me I had this issue. In order to isolate the issue I tried going on Teams Video chat and Zoom video chat and people said my audio sounded fine there. Then I opened Google Video Chat in Google Chrome and people said my audio sounded fine there too. Lately, it's only when I'm on Firefox trying to use Google Video Chat (aka Google Meet) to video chat and people say my audio sounds way too distorted to hear what I'm saying. I restarted my computer, I even checked for the latest browser, which is up to date, I can't figure out how to fix this. Sounds like a firefox issue. Any ideas?

Macbook Air, Sonoma 14.1.2, second monitor connected via hdmi. This oval purple icon showing a person in front of a screen suddenly appeared in and behind upper left hand corner of window, and is now in all my windows. (see attached image)

I Use Mac OS Firefox as my primary client for Gmail, and I always compose emails in a pop-out window. Ever since Firefox 124, these pop-out windows include the tool bar and bookmarks bar, eating up a bunch of space. I do want those bars displayed on my main firefox window, I don't want them displayed on the pop-up Gmail compose windows. Is there anyway to get Firefox revert back to this old behavior?

I have the Dark Reader extension, because white screens HURT MY EYES. This is an accessibility issue! ALL of your support pages do not recognize or respond to the dark reader extension, and leave the page backgrounds WHITE! I can barely stand to write this! UGH! Thank you for fixing this!

SSIA for the most part. I am running firefox 124.0.1 on my macbook air and, only from certain senders, does the formatting look different from others - the font is different, and I can't highlight or click links. Almost seems like a picture instead of text - I can even click in the general area and it'll copy/paste it in Word like a picture.

Any suggestions?
