I'm reaching out to inquire if there's a method to perform silent updates for Firefox without the need to launch the browser. Our organization has deployed multiple browsers across over 400 PCs, and while Firefox is a common choice for many, a significant number of users do not actively use it. Consequently, Firefox does not get updated on these systems because it is not being opened. Is there a command line option or a similar tool we can utilize to initiate silent updates manually?

I am having icloud calendar issues in the firefox browser. Recently apple changed some of how their calendar looks in a browser. At the same time I began noticing icloud calendar events are getting messed up in firefox. Events from the day before are often missing. Events on the current day are 5 hours later. However, if in another browser, like Brave & Chrome, the calendar events are correct. I prefer to use Firefox. I can't figure out how to understand Developer Tools - Network Tab - Response Time for XHR API-calls.

As far as I can see, the column 'Response Time', measure the time in hours, minutes, seconds the user has spend on this website, instead of measuring the time it took for the XHR call to return to the browser.

I'm a professional web-developer - being comfortable with using and understanding F12-Developer tools across browsers.

Not sure which is the cause. On multiple laptops and desktops after last Windows 11 update and then an immediate Firefox update, the software protection service of Windows 11 goes into high cpu mode consuming 40-50% of cpu when Firefox is opened. Running Firefox version 122.0 (64-bit) version. Tried in safe mode and still having issue. Just an FYI for developers to look into for next Firefox update.

So, I installed a new hard drive about a week ago and while re-installing things I also re-installed the Firefox Browser 64- bit. Strangely, it seems like the files did not install itself in the right areas or the files installed did not install themself in the right or normal places. It does work, but for some reason I don't see it's program files? Is this normal or something that happens?

Anyways, I've backed-up my bookmarks, and I am going to uninstall it, re-boot, and re-install it and see what happens I guess. Or should I uninstall Firefox and its Profile Folders also, etc, and than re-install it?

I would like to ban the Quora website altogether but especially from answering searches I make. What I have found so far does not work. Any suggestions? If I can do that I might even do that to another website that I see no value in. Thank you.

I use Firefox on Raspberry pi os. I have a lot of help files saved in mht format. How can I open these files in Firefox? Chrome supports such files without additional configuration, but I would not like to use this browser on Raspbian, since it consumes much more resources than Firefox. It is undesirable to use a different format.

Many files and folders have accumulated under the <profile>/storage/archives/0/ folder. The root folders therein are apparently named according to the yyyy-MM-dd date format. The dates range from ca. 1-2 years old.

The only information I could find about this folder was via ChatGPT, but that is not a reliable source of course.

Can I safely delete these folders and/or exclude them from a profile backup?

On new window (`Ctrl-N`) I want the focus to be on the url bar, not the homepage. I believe this is the default behavior if no homepage is set, but I want to set this behavior independent of the homepage setting.

Is there a setting for this?
