Hello Firefox community and thank you for your time and effort. Let me begin by saying I used to have this same issue with MS operating systems until I said goodbye to MS and went to Linux on one laptop and got a Mac for streaming and graphics. Here is the issue: MS had so many background processes running constantly, regardless of what I was using the machine for, that I regularly experienced crashes, warnings and slowed responses on my Windows machines. No matter how vigilant I was about settings and stopping processes and keeping system clean, I would regularly have to replace the fan on my machines as the constant overheating would eventually kill the fans. That has not been a problem since I made that switch away from MS. Until now. I keep clean machines and keep them updated religiously. But with the latest few Firefox updates the problem is now back on both my Linux built Lenovo and my MacBook Pro, especially the Mac. That regularly shuts down after an hour of streaming use. When I hear the fan constantly struggling and feel the machines heating up I check the background processes and find that Firefox has at least four running processes eating up resources. Force stop does not fix the resource hogging; by the time it is apparent and I respond the machine is already overheated and shuts itself down. Last night I started searching and found a (very) recent thread about this same issue. Most of the participants were attributing it to recent updates. If this is the case is there any effort to fix this? I would hate to have this issue completely destroy my older (but still heavily relied upon) MacBook with this constant mechanical challenge since I cannot afford to replace it. Please can you fix this problem. It is an old and exhausting struggle I thought I would not have to deal with again. Even when i set it on start from where i left off, after closing my Mozilla desktop application my all tabs get reset which have been quite problematic for me.

In regards for this, please solve this problem as soon as possible as it keeps hindering with my work

I am deleting or updating accounts linked to an email that was hacked. However, I cannot make changes to this Firefox account that I no longer use because the email that was hacked no longer exists. I wish to delete the account because of suspicious activity. Thank you for your assistance.

Firefox was crashing regularly in my PC desktop. I have updated from win 10 to11 recently then only i am seeing firefox browser crashes daily. I am using browser version 127.0.2 (64-bit). Below is dump file.

I'm unsure about this setting. I don't want a tab to reload when it's switched to.

It seems to indicate that something will be reloaded regardless of what I choose. I assume that's probably not the case.

I transferred by Firefox bookmarks from my old computer to my new Windows 11 computer. I think they transferred fine. But to access them, I have to click on Bookmarks and then go down to Manage bookmarks and click on it. Then I see them on the page that has all the Import and Backup access on it. How do I get them to appear in the side panel as a list like they did on my old computer?

Using windows 11 on a desktop PC. Firefox has been my default browser for decades...issues have been very rare. But this is a catastrophic problem. One of those folders contains links to equipment mfrs, the other one has links to dealers and retailers. In the last month TWO folders and all their contents have vanished from my bookmarks sidebar and cannot be found anywhere on my computer. I NEED those folders...Where did they go and how do I recover them ?????

EVERY [removed] DAY firefox looses my tabs, historys, extensions/addons, prefferences and settings.... EVERY [removed] DAY!!! why am i wasting hours each day trying to recover basic [removed] ur piece of shit web browser clearly cant retain. even [removed] BING would be better at this point. ive tried everything at this point even down to tab managers but again without the webrowser holding extension info this too is [removed] useless. whats more annoying is it has clearly been an issue for over 8 years with a 10sec google search.... SORT YOUR [removed] OUT!!!!!!! yes im on windows, yes im up to date, yes ive tried resetting ur web browser, yes i have a [removed] folder with "old firefox data" on my descktop i cant use, yes ur web browser is a piece of [removed], yes i will be uninstalling this [removed] shortly. sadly i still remember the day firefox was king...... o how the mighty have fallen..

I have been cleaning up a rather messy and duplicate-filled set of bookmarks on my desktop and have inadvertently deleted a single folder I would very much like to have back. I have that same folder (ten years of photography-related links) on my laptop but do not see a straight forward way to bring it alone over to my desktop. Would appreciate any suggestions. Thanks.

three weeks ago the Babbel playback gave me all shortened responses. Like I would hear "respon" instead of response. I switched over to Microsoft Edge. After first bad response all subsequent responses were normal--fully sounded.

As title- Cannot download for example webm format, but jpg is okay. cannot install any addon, theme or anything. DRM didnt install as well. i was trying reinstall, refreshing browser, rebooting.

I reset Windows yesterday to attempt to fix a problem with my computer. After redownloading Firefox and signing into a few basic things (including my Mozilla account), I realised all my logins were gone. I have followed the steps in [[this tutorial|https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1310179]] but it didn't work - I think saving logins in this instance of Firefox overwrote the other logins file, as when I opened it, it only had the login info from what I logged into after I reset.

Looking at my connected services, it seems the instance of Firefox from before I reset is still open. I mention this just because it's possible that this would contribute to a solution.

Any help is greatly appreciated as I have a number of securely generated passwords and cannot access a good deal of my accounts.

Trying to download nord vpn and is says "failed" tried to download a receipt for the purchase of above and it says "failed" the browser on Win 10 is set to save files to downloads

Every time I open Firefox, it crashes immediately and does not trigger the crash report window. Even though I have checked and enabled the option to send crash reports in the settings, it doesn't work. When I look for crash report logs, it shows that I have not sent any crash reports.I've tried many methods to view the crash report, but it just shows that there are none. I only found this information related to crash reports in the installation files.(you can see it in the picture)，hope someone can answer this question, thank you very much.😭
