I am using Thunderportable 139.0.2 with addon: Advanced Composer Expression Search - NG QuickFolders ThreadVis XNote++.

After accepting an meeting invitation, I switched to calendar tab but it keeps jumping as showed in the attachment.

Any advice on this?

I work in NZ (NZST) which is two hours ahead of Australia (AEST). When I receive appointments from Australia, the time should update to NZST if the appropriate info is in the ICS file. However what is actually happenning is that Thunderbird is simply storing the appointment without converting the time zone, so a 2pm AEST appt becomes 2pm NZST not 4pm.

I have checked the appointments contain the appropriate information - see attached screenshot from Thunderbird for an example, showing the appointment details for an appt sent a few days ago. However when I accept this, the appt appears in my Calendar at 2pm.

I have checked and reset the local time zone as Pacific/Auckland and tried setting in manually and restarting and tried converting back to automatic and restarting. I have searched the help base on Mozilla. This suggests that Calendar SHOULD convert time zones so I am unsure why this not happening. I have even asked Chat GPT for help, with no success :-)

I am an avid Thunderbird supporter and have been a donor for many years. My Australian work is becoming more and more important and this problem is now reaching a point where it is affecting my work. I would really value any advice as to how to fix this as I will have to switch to using a Google Calendar if I can't get this to work somehow.

I have downloaded my ICS file. I come to Thunderbird and it appears to import. And, in fact, some stuff seems to have imported. But then it stops at about 10% and gives me a message I've gone to the tools, developer tools, error console and I HAVE NO IDEA what it means or what I can do next ...

I really don't need most of this stuff, so I just want to import most of it.

right now it appears a partial import has happened. but the error stopped it from continuing.

I cannot see the description for a lot of the events in my calendar when there are large attendee lists. In this example the attendee list is so large I cannot even resize it to see the description. There needs to be a way to scroll the event window as a whole when the content doesn't all fit, or alternatively a way of collapsing the attendee list.

Time zone currently incorrect for America/Santiago in Calendar

Clocks changed in Chile over the past weekend. Windows has switched to the new time. In Thunderbird, if I run "Date()", the correct time is shown. However the Calendar's red line shows the old time. In Events, times are shifted by an hour reflecting the old time. When I add new events, if not done locally, they are shifted by an hour. Hence my work calendar has a mix of events with accurate local times, and old times.

Under Settings > Calendar, the timezone America/Santiago is shown.

Is this a known issue? Is there any solution?

I'm currently using eM Client your email because it has one critical for me feature. it can make a single Google Calendar its primary calendar.

I have two accounts, one on Google (primarily for calendar and drive), and the actual business account which is privately hosted.  I want the home / primary calendar of the privately hosted account to be the Google Calendar of the Google account period in other words, when I get invites on either account I want the invite added to the Google Calendar.

I also have two other pairs of Google Google account and non Google account I want to treat the same way.

I think it's erroneously asking to submit its older cached state of the server to the server instead of merely pulling from the server, despite there being no *user* made changes locally. I don't want it to do this, because I'm scared that one day I'll eventually click "Submit" instead of "Discard".

I am using a network calendar (Thunderbird build-in, no add-ons) with "Offline support" installed on premises (NextCloud). The calendar works perfectly, updating network calendar as needed.

When I create a new event and press [Save and Close] button, the dialog box closes, but the event takes about 25-35 seconds to appear on the calendar.

When I delete the event it takes about 12-15 seconds to disappear from the view.

If the calendar is local (on the computer) the event appears immediately on the calendar view.

I presume that this has to do with the network update procedure. Is there a way (or an option) that would show the event immediately on the view and make the update on the background later on ?

My Thunderbird version is 115.1.0 (64-bit) installed on Microsoft Windows 11.

I can't add calendar of Office 365 to Thunderbird v115 because TBSync (https://addons.thunderbird.net/en-us/thunderbird/addon/tbsync/?src=hp-dl-mostpopular) add-on don't support new version. I think this is core feature and Dev Team can add this feature to Thunderbird.

5 birthday events won't dismiss

I have 5 birthday events that pop up on each calendar sync and I'm unable to either dismiss them individually or 'dismiss all'. I can close the reminders window but it just pops up the next sync.

I've tried this with 4 different linux distros and with both packaged and flatpak versions. Currently on a fresh install of Fedora 38 and Thunderbird version is from fedora stable sources as of Aug 19, 2023 [can't find where to see a more specific version number.

The calendars are on my self-hosted NextCloud accessed through tailscale.

I've tried deleting the birthdays for these 5 contacts, syncing calendars, adding the birthdays back, syncing again, but the same issue returns.

Any ideas how to resolve this?

Everytime I start Thunderbird my emails are fine and I log into my accounts automatically. But, for the last 2 months, Google Calendar prompts me to enter my email address and password. Thunderbird version = 102.13.0 (64-bit) Google Calendar version = 1.6 Computer OS is Linux Mint 21.1 (Vera) Cinnamon I have tried completely removing Thunderbird and its profiles from my computer, rebooting, then reinstalling TB and the calendar, but this did not resolve the issue. There is also no selection to remember the password in the calendar, there never has been, and the calendar has not behaved like this in the past.

Use Tbsync to synchronize (shaw) exchange calendar. Everything working great just have a weird problem.

When I create an all day event it gets stored in the correct day, then, after some time (like the next day) I observe the event has moved back one day?!

I suspect on way to resolve is to do a complete re-install of thunderbird. Seems like upgrading to tb115 is a good time? I assume a new profile will be called for BUT how to preserve messages etc.

How do you create a calendar?

I am moving to a new computer on which I installed Windows 11. I downloaded Thunderbird to install so I could move my email. I did that and discovered that my task list… (pročitajte više)

I am moving to a new computer on which I installed Windows 11. I downloaded Thunderbird to install so I could move my email. I did that and discovered that my task list isn't here, then remembered that I had installed Lightning. Apparently Lightning has been discontinued and/or integrated into Thunderbird.

There appears to be some calender capability, but if I click on Calendar on the home screen, I get a choice of "On My Computer" or "On the network" which I leave at "On My Computer". I click "Next" dialogue box asking for a name, which I enter. When I click on "Create Calendar", I'm returned to the home screen with no apparent way to access this calender, if it exists.

If I click File, New, Create Calendar, nothing happens. If I click Edit, Calendar Properties, nothing happens. If I click File, Open Calendar File, it looks for an .ics file in the Mail directory.

What I am doing wrong?

MY time zone is Europe/Prague set in TB 102 and Windows 10. When I receive the meeting invite, it shows correct time in our zime zone. When I accept the invite , metting time changes to the time of an invite sender. I can see our correct time croswed out in an invite and replaced by a sender´s time. Strange think it happens only to the (reoccuring) invite from US , from Japan it works fine.
