hi, i visit Web that contains VR. The gyroscope seems work but i can't control the vr like click, even move. The screen is also back to portrait eventho i change it to landscape.

Any help? I use firefox for android and my domain already https.

Steps to reproduce:

1. Have "Video Background Playback Fix" addon installed
2. Open a video on Youtube
3. Lock phone (video keeps playing)
4. Wait ~5 minutes

Actual results:

1. Video stops playing after ~5 minutes
2. Unlocking the phone resumes video

Tried rebooting phone and reinstalling the VBPF addon, also tried reinstalling Firefox, these did not fix the problem.

Expected results:

1. Video should keep playing in background

In addition to the above, playback controls are no longer shown for Youtube in the notification area. They still work for other media, eg. Soundcloud.

This used to work for me in the past few years. Phone is on Android 10, I have not updated it or changed any settings recently.

I have a Shokz headset with volume and pause/play buttons. I watch videos on my Samsung s21+ using Firefox (more privacy, and easier to have multiple videos up with tabs comparedto YouTube app.

It worked fine up till today, when the pause/play button no longer does anything. I tried restarting the phone, closing and opening the Firefox (Ff) app, force-stopping the Ff app, and turning the headset off amd on. The headset functions correctly in other apps, just not Ff.

I don't want to uninstall and reinstall Ff if I can avoid it, but would that even work? I've done all I can short of that, but it still doesn't work.

Recently, the banner that usually appears when playing a video with Firefox (such as from youtube.com) has stopped appearing. I also cannot pause or play a video by clicking the controls on my headphones, which used to work. And finally, when playing a video or song from another app (eg. Newpipe), the video on Firefox does not automatically pause, which it used to to. I've tried updating both the app and my version of Android, but neither have helped. I would add images demonstrating what the media banner used to look like, but the "Browse" button simply does not work. Please help

Hello, suddenly when I try Mozilla and play youtube in this favourite browser, I can t have picture and picture anymore and play a video and do other things with my Redmi 5G phone. I looked in the settings and it s set on firefox the picture and picture, but as I said now it s not working anymore

Hi i have the video background play fix add on for Firefox but as of the last few days it stops working after a minute or so. I'll play a youtube video and turn off my phone's screen and after a short while it will stop playing, when i switch on the screen and open the app the video will play. This seems to only be with youtube though i tried with a vimeo video and it was fine so i assume this issue is only with youtube on firefox

On my Android 12 Motorola phone watching YouTube on Firefox for Android, I am seeing captions/subtitles both on the YouTube screen and separate from the YouTube screen overlaying the page. I do not have a caption add-on. I can turn the YouTube screen captions on and off using YouTube Payback Settings, but I cannot see how or where to turn off the captions overlaying (see screenshot) the YouTube web page/Firefox for Android app. Any help would be appreciated.

Mozilla goes to sleep after a few minutes with background addon, screen off, after a few minutes.

Also even after the update, after going fullscreen mode vide does not rotate to landscape, with screen rotation locked. everything i just described pertains to youtube. thanks for a dope browser

Unable to remove Playback settings sometimes on YouTube by tapping on 'OK'. Kindly fix the issue.

Can no longer access or copy transcript on YouTube. The three dots visible on a desktop used to be visible in Firefox as Firefox on Android was basically a copy of desktop. I could click on dots, then click on Get Transcript and the whole Transcript was visible on my phone. I could copy the whole transcript and paste it into Google docs. This feature was wonderful. Now the three dots to access the transcript are not visible on my phone. Please help.

The appearance of Youtube on Firefox now looks like the Youtube app on an Android and many of the desktop features are not available or at least not visible. Is there a way I can chose to view YouTube the way it used to appear in Firefox on my phone?

Lately Full Screen to Landscape mode for YouTube and other websites is not working (Screen doesn't rotate to Landscape Mode screen stays at Portrait Mode at Full Screen) Please fix this issue.

Some online video creators are posting new video content that won't play in Firefox 112.2. The video displays with a Play button in the center of the image, but tapping the Play button does nothing. Yet, opening the page containg the video in other browsers (Chrome, Opera for example) the videos play fine. Has there been a recent update to video source codes that Firefox hasn't adopted?

Add the Play background option to videos and audio, pre-installed in settings, as it is in the Brave browser. The current Background Video Playback add-on does not fully play all video and audio background playback features, it does not fully work. Version 112.1.0 does not show media control when playing YouTube and stops playing in the background. For example, with DTUBE playback, media control is present and background playback works as before. I activated the "video background playback fix" add-on, but it didn't help. On iOS, the version 112.1.0 has no issue with playing in background. What is the problem with Android?

Whilest using the Android Firefox app, suddenly all Videos except normal GIFs stopped playing and are instead eternally loading or showing a blank screen. This is the case for Youtube, Vimeo, Imgur and all other Platforms I found so far. By using the beta version of the app in the "about:config" menu I changed the setting "media.mediasource.vp9.enabled" to "true" which fixed it for Youtube, but other Videos on other sites are still not working. I also tried disabling all addons and doing a complete clean reinstall of the app, but this too had no effect.

Any ideas on how to fix are appreciated :) Thanks in advance

I cannot view CNBC investing club videos (yes, I'm logged in), in Firefox on Android 13 immediately after yesterday's Android update.

Chrome can view videos perfectly.

Firefox should adjust for the latest Android update.
