How do I get my sign ins, passwords, bookmarks, etc., on my laptop to the Android version of Firefox on my new Android phone? I have signed into my Firefox on my laptop and instructed it to "Sync". It says it has synced on my laptop. Now how do I get that information I mentioned above to sync to my phone? I tried taking a picture of the QR code on my laptop but it says I need to pair it with another device, but doesn't say how to do that. I need my bookmarks, passwords, sign ins transferred/copied to the Firefox browser on my new Nokia X100 phone. It just keeps telling me I need to pair my device but no further instructions.

I use Firefox account to save my id/passwords. I did a mistake by clicking on "delete all ids" (in french: "Supprimer tous les identifiants..." into credentials panel. Is there a copy or something to restore a previous version of all my IDs/password ?

I recently had to wipe my laptop and didn't have a chance to back stuff up off it. Thankfully, all my tabs and passwords are synced with Firefox Sync, but alas, I don't remember my password. So I pulled an old laptop I hadn't touched in a couple years, it was still logged in to Firefox Sync -- I could see all my tabs and passwords there. But the password for Firefox Sync itself? Out of date, turns out it's wrong (must've changed it at some point and not updated.)

So now I'm forced to, eventually, reset my password. What to do? Well, it says it will clear all my data (passwords, tabs, etc.) At the same time, since I'm *already logged in* and can view all the data, I'm hoping it would just stay here locally when it gets wiped server-side, and then I could re-sync my tabs and passwords in. Does this work this way?

tl;dr if I'm already logged into Firefox Sync, and reset the password, will I still lose everything?

I am trying to transfer my bookmarks, open tabs and passwords etc. from my old laptop to my new one. It appears I have to do this with Firefox Sync under the preferences menu. However when I try to connect a new device, I am told to open the code scanner on my Firefox App, which sounds like I have to use a mobile? How do I scan the QR code using my new laptop?

I just installed Firefox for Android. I'm trying to sync my device for the first time. The app said to open firefox.com/pair on my desktop & take a picture with my camera of the symbol. So I opened firefox.com/pair on my desktop (Windows 10) and it shows a box that says, "Connect to another device {title} Open the code scanner on your Firefox app and show the code when ready. [Show code] {button}"

I looked on my app & can't find a code scanner anywhere. Anyone know where to find it?

Dears, I have a problem with my sync data on firefox, I had many important bookmarks and passwords but after changing windows they didn't restore my sync account, it's not the first time that I change my windows but this time my data didn't recover It would be highly appreciated if you help me with this. For some reason my passwords went missing locally and when I went to sync them my account would not connect and the saved password was missing. So I went through the password reset process to sign into my sync account and when I resigned into it to sync, there was no passwords on the account.

Is there any backup performed by mozilla or any other way to get like a backup of the online account passwords somehow. My local logins.json files are corrupt so I cant use them.

This is extremely disappointing if they cant be retrieved.

I don't understand where to put the authentification code I receive on my phone. I have a yahoo and a gmail account. And then where do I find the code in turn to put on that screen?

So I forgot the password for my account, if I reset it, and therefore reset all of my bookmarks history etc, can I recover them by syncing again with my phone or is the account reset across devices?

Hi everyone I lost my phone a couple of months ago so I haven't access to my authenticator app, now I wanna sync my new phone's Firefox and it need to access to the two-step code that I haven't access to it. what must I do? I appreciate your help.

Dear Firefox,

I have FINALLY given up on your sync feature as it keeps adding deleted bookmarks and folders. It is so bad that all the duplication of bookmarks and folders are so random that can mount to thousands and thousands or copies.

I have UN-SYNC all my devices as this cannot go on as I have followed your instructions to the T.

For the last few month my Firefox on Android won't sync with my own sync server anymore. Syncing works on Ubuntu Desktop Firefox. On Android the same URL is configured and worked before.

I tried reinstalling Firefox and installing Firefox Nightly, but I cannot get it to sync: Login in to Account works, but "Last synced" either says "never" or "Jan 1, 1970".

I tried debugging as shown in the mozilla docs (https://wiki.mozilla.org/User_Services/Sync/Debug_Sync)
