Hello,

I am trying to sign in to my Yahoo email account in Thunderbird. I enter my email address, and my password (double checking it's correct), then I click Continue, then it finds a POP3 configuration for my email address. Then I click Done, and it stays stuck on "Checking Password", until ultimately it tells me "Unable to log in at server. Probably wrong configuration, username, or password."

Aside from this, I would like to store all my emails on the server (using IMAP?) and not on my computer using POP3. So when I go to configure IMAP manually and try to type in the values on this page ( https://help.yahoo.com/kb/SLN4075.html ) (although the fields don't exactly match), I type everything in and the "Done" button is greyed out so I can't even continue.

I found one other topic but they got farther than I did and they got to the Yahoo sign in screen which I did not, and they are using OAuth2 which I don't think I am, but I'm not sure.

Does anyone know how I can fix this and set up my Yahoo account with Thunderbird?

Ever since Firefox updated to ver 126.0 it no longer autocompletes with past history of visited websites like it used to. As a matter of fact it doesn't do anything in the url bar anymore. Everything is turned on in settings but no luck. I have even tried uninstalling and reinstalling Firefox but nothing is working. I am on Windows 10 if this matters...thanks

Windows 10, Firefox 120.0 (64 bit), Microsoft Surface Pro.

We moved (1000 miles) and I when I use Google Maps in Firefox (not in Chrome or Edge), it still shows my location being at our old address. Very frustrating. Clearly is a Firefox issue because as stated, my correct location is shown using other browsers on the same computer.

My preferred browser is Firefox, but this is very frustrating. I searched for solutions but came up with nothing that related to the issue being ONLY in Firefox, not other browsers. I.e., it is not a system issue, it is clearly an application (Firefox) issue, so I'm looking for a fix at that level.

When I try to download messages on one of several POP3 accounts I get the error message Unable to write the email to the mailbox. Make sure the file system allows you write privileges, and you have enough disk space to copy the mailbox. and it keeps downloading the last message I received before the problem started.

I have tried repairing the folder, clearing cache and even turning off my anti-virus for Thunderbird but to no avail. No problems on my other accounts

email on multiple computers using tbird we can only get it to work with one computer on each end - please help any help is greatly appreciated! We can only get it to work on one computer on either side.

Created several email mailing lists. Stored them in the Personal Address Book (PAB). I'm sorry, but Thunderbird doesn't seem to work like any other email client. How do I address an email using one of those mailing lists in the PAB. Tried typing the whole name of the mailing list in the To: field. Didn't work. I'm not entirely stupid but it doesn't make sense to me.

I am running a Mac Mini with the M1 chip. I recently updated the OS to Sonoma (14.5) from Monterey and find that the type on Linked In is tiny, only about 7 pt. My FF is 126.0. My minimum font size on Firefox is set to 14 pt. If I make it larger, like 20, Linked In is readable, but all my other sites are too large and hard to navigate.

Your automatic reader thinks I'm running 10.5. I've never run 10.5 on this Mac.

LI says it is a Firefox problem, which it is, because the site reads fine on Safari.

I know that there are sites which don't work on Firefox, like Chase Bank, which is a drag. Please don't tell me that LI is another one.

Somebody, please help.

What is the way to tell thunderbird to index IMAP folders in global-messages-db.sqlite which are not stored locally?

And a more generally, how does this part work, message indexing and remote IMAP folders not stored locally? Here, after removing the database, thunderbird indexed only some very limited set of IMAP folders in the Gloda, but not all of the folders, despite all are checked for "Include in global search". Or maybe it didn't even index whole folders, - I can't say for sure.

So, like I said in the title...my Thunderbird minimizes to the tray, and every time I open it from the tray, it isn't opened full screen...maximized. It is restored down....like when you press that middle button, left from the X. I don't know it is called, it says Restore down when you hover it. I'm using the latest x64 bit version, and my OS is Win10 Pro. Let me just say, that it happens only if I leave my PC for a longer period of time, couple of hour and it goes to sleep. Once it's awaken, opening Thunderbird is not the issue anymore. Only the first time. Any ideas?

Whenever I start Thunderbird a brief, white screen flashes before the black background that I prefer loads. I have searched for a solution but found none. Could you help me getting rid of that screen? Thanks for any input.

Shoot!! I just filled this out, and somehow, it reverted me back to This screen again!! I am not a programmer or IT Guy. What I am is a person that is Very alert to sudden changes in my experiences. I retired 14 years ago, as a Manager in a Manufacturing industry. Very familiar using desktop. For some reason, about a couple weeks ago, some of my sites have begun using google adds, over and over. When I click on the "X", wants to know why, etc. I use Malware Bytes, scans every day. Does NOT discover any malware, but I KNOW something has changed to allow the bombardment! Is it possible it's just a single site that I had to change and log in to? Even if so, WHY doesn't Malware stop them? Should I try a system restore to weeks ago? I am on here Every day.so I'm pretty cognizant of changes! ADVICE PLEASE!! Bruce Pierce

Everytime I open Firefox a new window opens suggesting I add the AVG extention, when I do I get a notification that AVG does not support that extention for Firefox. Why is the nonsupported extention being recomened

I had implement service worker for install resources and activate service worker and fetch the resources at offline.

When online service worker worked and once serve the resources to the cache then it will be stooped automatically

but when offline service worker block the local host and can not cache resource from cache. I am using firefox

126 version on window 11 system

Any settings are required or help me what will do for offline working in firefox using service worker
