I went to settings and then to privacy and security and tried to find auto fill to remove credit card info. I couldn't find the setting the browser told me to find.

In early May I started having problems with Google on Firefox. Sometimes the Google home page won't load up at all. Once it does load up sometimes the searches work, sometimes the search just times out and goes back to the empty search bar, also when I click on links to websites they time out too. If I go straight to a bookmarked website, that seems to free things up and the next Google search I do will work. I've uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox but it doesn't make any difference. Google works fine on Chrome and Edge. Any advice would be gratefully received - please note I'm not technically minded! Thank you.

Up until a month ago, I was able to download gifs from the giphy.com as actual GIFs. What has changed in Firefox and how can I troubleshoot this so I can get the desired file format of GIF?

The website mylotto.co.nz has been blocking Firefox for many months now and when I rang them to find out what the problem is they just say they are having problems but it was obvious that the person there was reading a script and fobbing me off. This has been going for many months now a problem would have been fixed by now. I would like to know if you can bring pressure to bear on them to get reinstated again. I can not log in to Outlook anymore on my computer when I use Firefox, but it is possible when I use Edge. But I prefer Firefox. What to do about this?

https:\\archive.org works perfectly in Firefox on Win-10, but on a new Linux Mint install, (with default Firefox as included), this particular website simply displays as a blank white screen. Every other website I try on the Linux install works perfectly; it is only this one website which does not work.

There are no add-ons, no proxies, no security suites, nothing extra. I cleared all cookies and cache. Tried running FF in Protected Mode. Nothing seems to fix it.  There are no error messages displayed - just a blank white screen.

And, to make it worse, I am not particularly computer-literate, (I'm 82 years old...), so you will have to give me simple guidance if I need to get involved with deeper logging etc.

I have been using Firefox for years without any problem but 126.0.1 (64-bit) is making me to consider stopping it. I am having issues playing live cams, getting some websites running properly, authentication issues, etc...etc..

I have received two emails from Sky regarding updating my Sky ID on my iPhone to enable continuing use of Yahoo emails. However, when I click on the link given there is a Google error message denying access owing to a violation of Terms of Service. the only autoplay setting i can find is under privacy and security. the page shows DEFAULT FOR ALL WEBSITES: Block Audio and Video, but videos still open and play. the page does not retain the change when i select the button REMOVE ALL WEBSITES. this problem has not been happening for years. it may have begun about six months ago. thank you for your time

Lately, I have been getting a pop-up error when I start and close Firefox. The error reads: "XULRunner Could not determine any profile running in backgroundtask mode!"

I have found posts such as this one: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1398228 and other posts suggesting to disable the scheduled task in Windows Task Scheduler, but none of the solutions have worked thus far. Anyone know of any other solutions?

Somehow I cannot type an apostrophe, whenever I do it just shows whats between the brackets ( ).

When I click on the Open Site in new Window button I get a new window with the following:

I'm hoping to get some help with disabling the Insecure connection password warning in Firefox version 115.11.0.

In previous versions, I could disable this warning through the about:config settings. However, I couldn't find the specific setting (security.insecure_field_warning.contextual.enabled) that was mentioned in some online resources.

I understand the security risks involved in disabling these warnings, and I only intend to do this on a trusted website on my local network.

Could you please advise on the best approach for achieving this in Firefox 115.11.0, or any alternative solutions to manage insecure connection warnings for trusted local sites?

We have a client using Azure Virtual Desktops. Most of the users prefer to use Firefox. We are having an issue that anytime we update Firefox and reimage the virtual hosts. When the users login they get a new Firefox profile. We have to remote in and copy their old profile data to the new profile.

Is there a better way for us to handle Firefox and profiling in and Azure Virtual Desktop deployment?

Sometimes (so rarely that I cannot reproduce in dev) the client sees this error screen: "Firefox closed unexpectedly while starting..." (see image in attachment)

Sometimes when rebooting the error goes away and Firefox starts normally.

Sometimes even when rebooting the system - this vertical error screen appears, and one solution is to reinstall Firefox, but I'd like not to (if not necessary) or at least programmatically detect the issue and perform the needed actions.

QUESTIONS: How to programmatically detect (bash i.e.) that this error window is present and get rid of it properly? Or, how to (for debugging) force that screen to appear (to force that broken state)?

PS: I'm running Firefox using:

nohup firefox -P ff_custom_profile -new-instance -private-window -kiosk "$url" > /dev/null 2>&1 &

I already have the admx and adml templates installed on my gpo. I would like to control or prevent the install of vpn extensions on the firefox browser.

Specifically I would like to prevent the install of all vpn extensions to the firefox browser for the users in my company. I would like them to download and install other extensions. How could I do this through modifying the json file in the extensions folder of the firefox template in my gpo.

We would like to deploy a configuration profile to our macbooks running Sonoma 14.5 and above. This is being done via Jamf MDM. However when we use our current plist to configure settings, They are not being applied correctly, The issue seems to be with the firefox plist itself and not our Jamf deployment. Would you be be able to advise or could we ask for a plist template that could achieve this?
