HELP‼

Are there any •SERIOUS• “Thunderbird” savvy computer geeks in 155.0that could help me merge “old” user profile directories from *crashed* computer to a new computer without messing up either one?🙏

i used to do this stuff (with my eyes closed) but I no longer remember if I had breakfast today and they are my wife’s files! 🤬

I have new notebook computer plus the •entire• old computer data on a USB stick.

Yes, this outlook account was made earlier this year. I've tried all of the "fixes" offered on here and across the internet. I'm changed to to password and got the app password. I've deleted 2FA to see if that would work. I've deleted the Oauth key and it refreshed to a new one. I've done it all and TB-sync is not available to me cus apparently now i'm right outside the app version limit.... how convenient. It's very frustrating as i really like the app and still use it to read my emails but it's very annoying to have to open the outlook app and go through all that just to send an email. I keep getting told it is possible, i've been battling this on and off for months. I cant just get a new email either as i already swapped everything to the outlook one and my work using out look as well. i am able to sync my calendar even but apparently just not my outgoing emails. I would like to transfer my email but the other email i have is a proton email and they are a whole other headache. Please help.

One day after windows update, my thunderbird can't not download email from yahoo, microsoft, google..etc I tested the connection be fine but I can't recive any email

I installed Thunderbird. Added 3 email accounts successfully. 4th one glitched and sent me down a rabbit hole.

The 4th email address appears on my list but I get an error message.

Login to server imap.mail.yahoo.com with username ______@yahoo.com failed.

I'm trying to remove a couple accounts that I no longer use in Thunderbird. A window keeps popping up asking for a password, but the mail service is no longer available. When I click on the red delete button for that account, nothing happens. I've deleted all the mail in one of them which I was able to do as I thought I might need to do that first, but I still can't delete it after that. The other one won't even let me delete the emails. How do I delete these so I stop getting asked to put in a password for accounts that are no longer valid and I don't want anymore?

I'm running the latest version of Thunderbird 140.12.1esr on 15.7.7 (24G720) on an M1 processor.

I'm witnessing Memory leak > Thunderbird who usually use 800MB jumps to Gb up to 60Gb

It makes this version unusable.

Hello everyone! I also had the error, it randomly started moving messages to folders. I deleted everything, reinstalled (155.0.1), started building message filters. I'm at 29 now. (Gmail account) now I'm not getting new messages. For every filter I get a message saying that the filter could not be applied. No messages are coming, anywhere. What's going on?

I am trying to add IdeasDale@zohomail.com to my Thunderbird email. It is set as Incoming – imap -- Port: - 993 Server: - imap.zoho.com Outgoing – smtp –- Port: - 465 Server: - smtp.zoho.com

When I start a new message, it's always shown 'Copy message to'. This has suddenly disappeared. (It puts copies into 'Sent'). I have 3 accounts set up; this seems to happen with all of them. I've probably clicked om something unusual, without noticing it. How can I get 'Copy message to' back again, please? Any suggestions? (I've tried clicking on things in Account Settings, without success.)

I see I've had a message from Mozilla saying 'Use 618307 to sign in'. I've been able to sign in and create thus message anyway. Is that normal, please?

I have used Thunderbird with the same email account for years, creating subfolders and moving emails to the subfolders with no issues.

With Thunderbird 153.0.1, after creating a new subfolder in the account, when attempting to move emails to the new folder, I receive the following error:

"Thunderbird: The current command did not succeed. The email server responded: APPEND invalid flag list"

MY second email account (droulston@btinternet.com) stopped working 3 days back (it has been OK for many years). I tried uninstalling and reinstalling but my password was not accepted.

My folders are in disarray and it is cutting into my productivity to file emails. I have tried but it in settings but it doesn't work. Many are in alpha order but there are 2 different two different sections of the same name, and some odd files end up in an alphabetized section.

For instance there are 2 different ZBV sections with other stray folders in the same area that should be in there own alpha folder area. It's a mess to find the right folder. I have to scroll up and own and look for the folder I need to file in. I would be happy to donate, and i have in the past, but I really need this to get fixed. Please, please, please...

After the latest update of thunderbird on 19-aug-26 I found that I could send emails but not receive them. After researching the problem I changed my server setting for imap to match what spectrum recommends, confirmed I did it correctly by spectrum. Test imap connection fails, but gives no information as to why. Tried 3 dirrent imap server: 1. imap.charter.ner 2. mobile.charter.net 3. mail.twc.com I confirmed with spectrum that I'm using the correct port number.

Is it possible to rill back thunderbird to the last release? Thanks for any and all help. I've used both google and duck duck go AI to look for answers.

I have two Tbird accounts pmcreativeservices@rcn.com has been mine for 20 years, and it's what I use for bills, banking, etc. The other account is PatriciaRosemoor@rcn.com and is only used to collect messages that come from my author website. Yesterday, I got a message from someone who tried but couldn't put a book up at Amazon and asked if there was something I could do about it. My trying to send her a message via the PatriciaRosemoor account is what started requests for my Primary Password. One a minute after I cancelled the last one. I tried the two passwords I knew I had, but neither worked. I got a request for a new password so I did that and it didn't work either. I kept going back to it all day yesterday uselessly. I found directions of what to do online, but it didn't match up with my Settings information. Please, if you can tell me how to fix this, I would be grateful. Or, if I can keep the thousands of emails I probably have, I could try deleting the account and recreating the account. The problem would be how to bring all my saved emails back. Thunderbird widow is coming up on the sceen and says loading mesages. Does not happen. And it is not possible to promt. It is also impossible to quit the programme, I have to turn off the lap top. I have upgraded, seems to be ok. but the problem is still there. Geir H W
