Firefox for iPadOS – Request for Option to Disable Pull-to-Refresh I would like to request an option to disable the pull-to-refresh feature in Firefox for iPadOS. Device: iPad M2 Firefox Version: 151.1.1 Input Methods Tested: Touch screen, Magic Keyboard trackpad, and external mouse Issue: When navigating to the top of a webpage, any slight downward movement triggers a page refresh. This occurs regardless of whether I am using touch, a trackpad, or an external mouse. Unlike Firefox for Android, which provides a setting to disable "Scroll to Refresh", I have been unable to find an equivalent setting in Firefox for iPadOS. Impact: This behaviour is particularly problematic when using banking websites, online forms, account management portals, and other sites where an accidental refresh may interrupt a session, log the user out, or cause entered information to be lost. As the refresh gesture can be triggered unintentionally during normal navigation, it negatively affects usability and can create unnecessary risk when using important websites. Request: Please consider adding a user-configurable option in Firefox for iPadOS to disable pull-to-refresh, similar to the existing Android implementation. Thank you for your consideration.

What in the world are you thinking!?!
Firefox fails to obey OS-defined DNS and instead overrides this to use …….Cloudflare? Are you nuts?
Whoever told you Cloudflare is private or secure failed to educate you on Surveillance Capitalism.
For the love of all that is good in this world, rekey Firefox to allow user-defined DNS- whether that is through DHCP, manual config or a management profile.

Is there a way to remove the pull to refresh feature? I accidentally hit it a hundred times a day. It’s a nightmare for accessibility.

I want to turn off ai features. I don't want to heat up the planet or torture rural people with data centers by using AI just to look stuff up, especially because ai is stupid, as in dumb, so it's a big waste of energy and water and space to use with search engines anyway. I want to be able to set up my firefox browser so it never uses ai for anything. Never! How can i do that? Idont want to have to disable it everything i search. I want it off off off off.

Dear team ,I was dissatisfied with my introduction period to Fire fox browser.
Tell me if I am using the system incorrectly ?
I downloaded only a few days ago and as I use an Apple iPad the result came on my desk top screen with several icons of various well known browsers including fire fox and Google chrome included .
However when I clicked on the fire fox icon to open what fire fox had to offer in the way of different from say Google chrome. My disappointment was every time I went to fire fox ,Google came up with all the normal avenues of the Google browser .I decided to make sure my default was set at Fire fox.
So in the end I began to think is the Google company managing to keep fire fox as a non entity.?
I will look forward to your response.
Many thanks William Brown

Hello.
I've found myself to rely on Firefox for some specific workflows that require sending emails that are generated automatically by a website, and I use it across multiple devices, such as Windows, macOS.
Unfortunately, when it comes to iOS, using the aforementioned website, when tapping the relevant "mailto" button, nothing happens.
Some months ago the specific website that I use, was failing to do this action on any webkit browser, but this was later patched by the developer and the flow now works correctly within Safari. This was caused by stricter enforcement of "user-initiated" actions.
Unfortunately it seems that Firefox isn't either capable of invoking the mail client, or get the data from the website properly.

I have been using Firefox since I first started using computers, so for over fifteen years. Initially, I only used it on my PC, but for the past few years I have also been using it on my iPhone and iPad. Until now, I have been a very satisfied user, but for some time now I have been extremely dissatisfied with Mozilla and Firefox. I have been using Startpage as my search engine for many years and Firefox is set up that way on all my devices. But on Apple devices, every time I open the browser, Google is now set as the search engine again and I have to correct the setting every time. I find this patronising, inconsiderate and extremely rude. If this cannot be changed very quickly, Firefox will no longer be my default browser on any device. I would be very sorry to see that happen, but it really is not acceptable. Are you so short of money that you have to rip off your long-standing users? I would be very grateful for a reasonable and helpful response.

I’ve set up Kagi as my default search engine on Firefox for iOS, but every time I open the app, it seems to revert the default search engine to DuckDuckGo. Then I have to set Kagi as default again. It’s a very strange bug. I’m not sure if it only happens when you set a custom search engine as the default.

Per this page: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/summarize-pages-ios
There should be a "Page Summaries" option in the Settings menu of Firefox for iOS. However in settings this option does not appear in the list, resulting in no way to turn off page summaries or remove the icon from the toolbar.
Please advise on how to disable this useless AI crap when the appropriate settings are not visible in the interface.
How do I keep Firefox as my default browser on my iPhone? Do I lose privacy with Google search on Firefox’s private mode?

The FF web browser on mac update was pretty clear about what this is and it being a new available feature. See attached.
Tried searching for this and couldn't find anything related to this new feature. Thanks for your help!

new firefox iphone interface is bad, dont make it look like other apps, make it most efficient, where the old settings button had everything in one space, now new settings are under more and to do certain tasks you have to go through 2-4 layers to do what were in one tap before. as a developer i am tired of bad interface design hiding options for advanced users.
Can you add back the home button on next update? The home button made it easier to go to shortcuts at least for me.
