Today randomly i noticed that my bookmark bar is waaay shorter out of the blue, i didn't change or adjust anything, all i do is the updates from mozilla that's all, it was all music it really saddens me because atm it's lost forever, i hope somebody can help me (i don't know since when it disappered i literally just noticed it right now ...)

After importing bookmarks from Microsoft Edge browser to Firefox, the two browsers have folders with the same name in the same directory. Some of the bookmarks in the folders have the same website domain names. I hope that in the future, Firefox can automatically organize bookmarks from two identical folders into one folder and automatically delete bookmarks with duplicate domain names. This feature is available when importing bookmarks from Firefox using Microsoft Edge. I hope Firefox can also improve it. Thank you.

When i starup my firefox browser All my bookmarks are gone and i dont know how to retrieve the bookmarks. do i need to setup an firefox account or what should i do? with regards

The title sums it up. • Does anyone know why FFx , when opened following my MacBook Pro Restart, opens without any of my selected Tabs AND then provides no History of my last FFx session??? • Hours of Internet research, vanishes! It really p--- me off! • This has happened at least 4 or 5 times in the past year to year and a half and on both computers. And I do stay on top of my FFx updates. If a Notice appears on my screen, I usually install within 24 hours. • This last time (today) I had previously updated FFx a few hours earlier and then I needed to run a Restart of the computer.... • MBPro fires back up, I open FFx and nothing in the Tabs Header. GONE! Poof! • I go to Browsing History - no Restore Previous Session (by any other term) • Doesn't it seem logical? THAT fundamental function would be right there, top of the list?!?! • HERE IS THE KICKER: In FFx I opened the FFx "About Firefox" menu and noticed it says, amidst all the provided information, "Failed to check for updates." • BS! It was following the update that FFx Tabs vanished! How can it insert that statement? Was I suppose to do something other than click "OKAY". And then the new version begins when FFx is reopened. Right? • If this comes down to the older OS on the computer (10.13.6) I should not be receiving update notices from FFx. If so, a notice of, "Your Mac's OS is too old to run FireFox's latest version" would be what I should receive. So, as you can tell, I'm frustrated and baffled at the same time. Any thoughts? Hello Mozilla Support, I enabled Settings → General→ Open previous windows and tabs, but after restarting Firefox all of my tabs were unexpectedly lost. I’ve confirmed the setting is still enabled, restarted Firefox and PC and checked History → Recently Closed tab with no luck. Why wasn’t my session restored? How can I recover my lost tabs? How do I ensure Firefox reliably restores my tabs going forward?

I tried to export my Pocket links because they're shutting down. The export I received doesn't include any tags, which makes it pretty much useless. How do I get one with the tags, so I can import to a different tool?

I am definitely not interested in bells and whistles. Just want basic program. The new update ate my current settings and book marks. Did not create a backfile with my profile. Your help process sucks big time. Do you even do beta testing before you send them out?

My husband was trying to fix an Outlook account that was damaged because of a power outage and in the process reset some of my accounts. I couldn't log in to Firefox so I used my email and hit reset password. In the process it said my account was new as of June 25, 2025 and I lost all my passwords saved in Firefox. This is a desktop computer with Windows 7. I have a new computer with Windows 11 and it still listed my passwords but said my account was disconnected. I don't know how to keep my passwords in that account but don't know how to access them so I don't lose the information.

I rebooted and launched FF, I was asked if I wanted to Refresh. Naturally I declined because I'm not an idiot. Now all my addons and passwords are gone. I would love to have them back since I never asked for them to be deleted. I don't have an "Old Firefox Data" or whatever folder on my desktop, would have been cool for them to leave that there when they clobbered years of data and customization because Firefox thinks they should have more control over my PC than I do, but they didn't. Is there any way to get these back?

I have just installed firefox on my new computer. I had firefox on my old computer and laptop that are both still running. It has pulled in a list of mostly obsolete accounts and passwords which are listed when I select "passwords" I did not ask firefox to do this. why has it done this. what else may it have done that I don't know about

I bought a second MacBook. I am clearly logged in to Firefox on both laptops and my iPhone. I can share tabs between all three. I can access history between all three. However, Bookmarks on MacBook #2 are not updating with what I add to MB #1 or my phone. MacBook #2 is my business laptop, and the more important of the two. When I first got it, Bookmarks synced, but somehow stopped.

AND! Mozilla's instructions to pair/sync are inaccurate. There is no "Sync and save data" to tap on in iOS, and no matter where I look in iOS Firefox Settings, I see no way to scan the QR code. None of the Help pages I've seen have different or better info.

For the 2nd time in 3 months my history and password files have disappeared from my browser. I have an Acer laptop running Windows 10 with Norton Security. I've tried a few fixes from your site with no success. Also tried a fix your site did have, but the link led nowhere. I need these passwords back. What do I do? I was in the midst of registering my wife for social security. Now my login and password are in the wind. Please get back to me Thank you

Hi I have lost all my browsing history and nothing I browse is saved. Also all my bookmarks have disappeared and I can't save anything even clicking on the star doesn't do anything I have quite a bit of stuff bookmarked, can you help? The browsing history and my bookmarks seemed to disappear at the same time.

I updated Firefox and all my plugins except for Grammarly were deleted, I saw another post talking about going into profile folder but I couldn't find anything about that
