Hello, I imported Bookmarks when I came to Firefox from a previous browser. The experience was terrible and challenges still linger. Firefox has come a long way, however UX still seems to be a 2nd class citizen. Bookmarks now has somewhat duplicate directories and this in turn is causing desktop/phone sync doubt and is likely missing bookmarks.

When sync breaks, it is so confusing. How can I simply have a working Bookmarks sync on desktop/phone?

Perhaps there was a challenge when I need Bookmarks to appear in the top bar when a new Tab is opened, as this was contrary to default Firefox settings.

Hi! I'm on a relatively new to me (refurb) desktop computer running Win 10 Pro (64 bit)* and Firefox 143.0.3.

In the past week both Firefox and Win 10 have updated. I don't know what happened, but now when I boot up or reboot, my computer opens to Edge. Yuck! Every single time I have to navigate to the Mozilla page and d/l FF exe file again, then reinstall Firefox! Once I do that, all is well again. I have all my bookmarks back, etc. It also keeps changing my "default to Firefox" while I'm using Firefox, so I have to keep telling settings that yes, I still want FF to be the default browser.

Why is it doing this? How do I stop it? Can you believe I've been using desktop computers 38 years now? LOL I finally can't keep up with it all any longer. I wish they'd stop trying to save us from ourselves.

Anyway, I know I can't delete Edge or uninstall it. How do I shove it back into the black hole it has lived in until now?

This is a new issue, starting yesterday, 09-30-2025. When I went to delete some (NOT all) websites in my browsing history, and after using the X to remove said websites, and then when that didnt work, I pressed on the website & hit the delete tab... thinking I had deleted all I had wanted deleted, then went back into my history to make sure they were removed, and I discovered that ALL of my "deletions" were back, and, in fact had "children". There are over 180 deletions that are back in my history. They keep growing! I've tried 5 different times to delete those that I longer want in my history to no avail. What has happened here? Thank you for your assistance with this frustrating issue.

Hello people,

When I compose a message in my word programme (Softmaker or Libre), save it in Docx format and copy/paste it into Thunderbird to send it everything is double spaced and nothing I do in the "compose" menu can change that.

I have tried it with "Use Paragraph Format" checked and unchecked and it stays doule spaced and nothing I can find in previous threads seems to address this problem.

What am I missing?

My address book appears to be inaccessible. There are no contacts shown and new contacts and address books can't be added. The same is true if I delete the address book files from my profile and restart TB. I'm on TB version 143.0.1 and my profile is on a NAS server. This has worked for many years and broke only very recently. If I use a local profile, the address book works.

The error console shows a variety of errors:

IndexedDB UnknownErr: ActorsParent.cpp:585

Many links shared by correspondents over or into other apps have recently stopped opening. Typically a blank white page. Often share.google links, clicked from whatsapp, open firefox then give this blank white page, presumably this is Google's attempt at tracking without cookies & FF is blocking them. For example: clicking this from whatsapp https://share.google/8XIPjfzcE6gtZzfsi opens just fine if pasted into chrome but that's not my default browser.

Hi, Hoping someone can help. [rather a long story sorry] I have been using Thunderbird for a long time and was working OK until last week, then suddenly I can no longer log in, after a lot of hours on telstra help[which was no help] except to say that my bigpond.com was linked to my ex-partners account which was opened probably 20 yrs ago, i never remember having a password, and T/B was asking for that, in the end I went to a Telstra Shop and got my ex to be there as well as they couldn't do anything without him being there. Everything seemed to be going fine and got the bigpond account in my name with a new password, I even got them to help me install a mail program on my phone through gmail.....all good got some emails. On arriving home very relieved switched on my computer and downloaded some mail, then wanted to download TB on my phone which I did and tried to set it up, but couldn't get it to work......now I'm not sure what's wrong but read about having to have the correct server address and port number as I wanted to be able to sync from mobile to desktop and vice versa......so now I don't know which server and port number are correct.....so to cut the long story short I'm hoping someone can help with setup and server and Port numbers for old bigpond accounts and if they are are same on Mobile and Computer. Thanks for the great customer!

We have several computers on a local network without internet access. There is a problem in Thunderbird 143 - files are downloading slowly. POP3 and IMAP are the same. From several tens of seconds to one and a half minutes, 11 files from the letter were downloaded, totaling 20 MB. There is such a feature - if you disconnect the network adapter, the problem practically disappears. There was no such problem in the Thunderbird 115 version. The Em client and Mailbird clients were also installed for the experiment - they also do not have such a problem.

The mailbox is small and contains 20-30 almost empty emails.

Tell me, please, what can be done about it?

Việc gặp phải những từ khó khiến quá trình đọc hiểu trở nên chậm hơn, vì vậy nếu có sẵn tính năng dịch từ ngôn ngữ khác sang tiếng Việt thì sẽ vô cùng tiện lợi và hữu ích. Tôi nhận thấy hiện nay trình duyệt đã hỗ trợ dịch từ tiếng Việt sang tiếng Anh, nhưng chiều ngược lại thì chưa có. All email coming from a .de domain is blocked. It is not in my junk file and the sender is getting a bouceback message. For months, I've been wondering why I haven't been getting responses! One party called today and now I know.
