I would like to know how the Firefox CVEs are affected on its version which are mentioned in NVD.

Let take mfsa2025-59, for example CVE-2025-8040, as per the NVD its says Firefox ESR < 140.1 is affected so does that mean it affect all the version which are lower than 140.1 which included the ESR 128 and ESR 115 versions or just the ESR 140 version series? then it raise on more question check this cve-2025-8029 in NVD it has specifically mentioned it only affect "Firefox ESR < 128.13, Firefox ESR < 140.1" and not the ESR 115 versions. Could anyone confirm it does not affect the ESR 115 versions or it affect all the versions? Now check this one cve-2025-8027, NVD clearly mentioned "Firefox ESR < 115.26, Firefox ESR < 128.13, Firefox ESR < 140.1" are affected so what I understand is that if the Firefox ESR 115 is vulnerable to any CVE it would be mentioned in the NVD specifically.

My point is that if any Firefox CVEs are listed in NVD and it specify only one version like “Firefox ESR < 140.1” what does that mean? Does it affect all the versions which include ESR 128 and ESR 115 or just the ESR 140 series version only affected? If any CVEs are affected on the ESR 115 and ESR 128 does Mozilla specifically mentioned those versions are affected right? Just like its mentioned in the cve-2025-8027

Any help would be appreciated to clarify this.

Latest Firefox release update wiped out my bookmarks. Tried to restore a saved HTML version - and it says "this file doesn't include any bookmark data". (This is a "Firefox HTML Document" property type, saved using the BACKUP feature on w/n Firefox itself - using "manage bookmarks".)

I have read the already published solutions to this problem. They do NOT work. Here is the situation:

Toolbars checked, as in turned on, in the View-Toolbars box: Composition, Formatting, Status toolbars.

On the Composition screen to compose an email, there is no Send button. Only a Send Later button along with the remaining buttons. I followed the instructions in the already published solution and clicked "Customize" in the View - Toolbars box. The remaining buttons appear in a larger grey box. There is no Send button in this box of choices. I click Restore Default Set and nothing changes. A Send button does not appear in the box of dragable buttons.

Unfortunately, there is no other help available for this problem.

Hello, I imported Bookmarks when I came to Firefox from a previous browser. The experience was terrible and challenges still linger. Firefox has come a long way, however UX still seems to be a 2nd class citizen. Bookmarks now has somewhat duplicate directories and this in turn is causing desktop/phone sync doubt and is likely missing bookmarks.

When sync breaks, it is so confusing. How can I simply have a working Bookmarks sync on desktop/phone?

Perhaps there was a challenge when I need Bookmarks to appear in the top bar when a new Tab is opened, as this was contrary to default Firefox settings.

after this last update, all my bookmarks are gone, I read the restore article and did everything, but the profile folder is empty, I do have an external harddrive that I use to back up every week, but I don't know how to use it to restore the bookmarks

I am using a website with text input fields in a dialog box. When I open the dialog box (show_modal()), I see the entire dialog box (Figure 1). When I type in one of the text fields, it automatically enlarges (Figure 2). How can I prevent this?

I can't delete emails, or at least I can only delete one after starting thunderbird, all subsequent attempts do nothing, with no obvious error messages. I have tried deleting the trash folders to no avail. This is a new migration from another machine, not sure when the problem started, possibly immediately but went unnoticed? Failing an easier answer I could simply uninstall and migrate the profile again from the other machine.

I am not receiving my bluelakecompany@yahoo.com emails. When I click my yahoo.com mailbox in thunderbird I get an yahoo.com mail popup asking me to sign in, which I do, but it does not complete, just keeps churning.

The links on the site tasteofhome.com stopped working recently. When you click on them nothing happens. If you load the same page in chrome they work fine. Any suggestions? Or is this a bug Sample URL https://www.tasteofhome.com/recipes/chicken-and-bows/ but there are many more

Hi, I'm using Firefox 142 on Ubuntu 24.04. It's a fresh install. I cannot sign in icloud.com with Firefox even though it works with other browsers like Brave. I deleted all cookies and site data and disabled extensions (KeePassXC). It doesn't help. I tried in new private window. No success. I copy my password from a password manager, so, no, I haven't mistyped it.

Here's what I do:

1. Open Firefox and go to icloud.com
2. Click on the "Sign In" button
3. Enter my Apple-ID and click on the arrow on the right end of the "Email or Phone Number" field

At this point Brave behaves differently than Firefox. See below for how Brave behaves.

Firefox: -> A "Password" field appears (no buttons "Continue with Password" and "Sign in with Passkey")

1. Enter my password and click on the arrow on the right end of the "Password" field

-> Error message "Failed to verify your identity. Try again" appears. See icloud.png

Brave: -> Two buttons "Continue with Password" and "Sign in with Passkey" appear. See icloud-with-brave.png

1. Click on button "Continue with Password"

-> A "Password" field appears.

1. Enter my password and click on the arrow on the right end of the "Password" field

-> 2FA code is sent to my iPhone -> "Two-Factor Authentication" form opens... etc. complete sign in successfully

Unfortunately I cannot attach the HAR file from the login sequence because the password is included. However, I attached some screenshots from the Web Developer Tools. It seems to me that the login flow with Firefox is broken. I can't tell who's to blame, Apple of Firefox. The error message with Firefox is always the same, no matter whether I enter the correct password or rubbish. In Brave, however, there is a more precise error message when I enter a bad password. 1. Using Thunderbird (143.0.1) on a Mac (Sequoia 15.7) that has text replacements doesn't work. Mac text replacements ordinarily are filled In when the space bar is pressed, but in Thunderbird the replacements are filled in regardless, so, for instance, I have the text replacement "tr" -- when I press those letters followed by a space it ordinarily expands to the word "there". In Thunderbird every time I type those two letters, even if they are followed by other letters, it expands.

So if I type "trunk" It looks good until I hit a space, when it expands to "thereunk". This happens whether I type the word or use speech input (Talon). I use a lot of text replacements for common words, so this happens frequently, making it unusable.

I'm a longtime Thunderbird user just now switching to a Mac. I'm hoping for a fix so I can use text replacements in Thunderbird, but a short term workaround would be the ability to turn text replacements off through the edit\substitutions menu (like other programs including Notes).
