When having a lot of tabs, How to close Firefox tab without selecting it first ? Now I must click the tab to be selected then close button appears. So two clicks are required to close an inactive tab. It's clear that it's the new tabs default behavior but it's not suitable for me.

Changing browser.tabs.tabClipWidth value at about:config helped me to get close button back on all tabs. I just set it to 40 to show close button always.

Hi,

The way I use is to use shortcuts. You can find a list of keyboard shortcuts in the link below:

To close a tab, I use Ctrl + W
To scroll through tabs, it's Ctrl + Tab

I'm not aware of any other methods but I'm sure someone with a little more knowledge than me can find that out.

Thanks for your answer but it's all about closing an inactive tab While keeping the current active tab as it is. Before the update, the tab close button can be clicked when hovering over any inactive tab even if there are too many tabs at the same window.
