I give up. Cannot see all images in incoming emails - since updating clean install Win10, and so, everything else. Some emails display some images but not all. Some emails seems to display all. Some only shows placeholder boxes or broken image icons. Can't see the difference why - html links show at online link at bottom of TB when I mouse-over for those which display and those which are placeholder boxes only.

When I open some emails, it briefly flashes images, reverting to placeholder boxes. It means the problem is not with downloading from my ISP. I run Avast - Free version - don't seem to have any settings I can mess with, so I set TB not to allow it to quarantine incoming emails, which did not help anyway. (Yes, I will reset that soon as I can.)

I do not even get the flashed option as I used to get in previous versions of TB of allowing remote content for some individual emails. I have allowed remote content in settings - did not fix the problem.

Tried all the usual suspects in settings. No go. Went into troubleshoot mode and ticked to remove both add-ons and reset defaults. Might have fixed some emails - others remain as they were, displaying some images or none.

I am running TB updated to latest 102.1.2(64bit). I'm also running thin on patience... LOL!

Don't know if this is relevant: Thunderbird refuses to save my ISP (pop3) password - when I tick the box to save password, my password does not work and I have to put it in again without ticking the "save password" box. There are no "saved password" for my account in settings.

I do not import any email etc accounts - I ONLY use PB for one straight ISP pop3 account for email only on my home PC.

Should I save/back up my stuff, delete TB and reload?

Several possibilities: - antivirus can be part of the issue - some messages are embedded. check View>message body as>Original HTML to see all of them - Linked messages are controlled at tools>settings>privacy&security
