The update to 40.0.2 is hugely troubled
After the last update from 39.0.3, Firefox became unusable. My definition? The Big River website taking 20 seconds to load my log-in screen and Task Manager showing Firefox to be running constantly at 98%.
I had removed/disabled all of the 'not tested' extensions (mostly Flash related) to no avail.
With NOTHING else being changed, a reversion to Firefox 39.0.3 and everything is much better.
No. This is not a question. After a half-dozen screens of round-and-round to get to a comment area (and not getting there), I will park myself here.
Here's to hoping that FireFox will not 'New and Improve' itself to uselessness.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web Link} by holding down the <Shift>
(Mac Options) key, and then starting Firefox. Is the problem still there?

Thank you for the response.
It is unfair to make a complaint and not be willing to try to fix it. Still, having reverted to 39.0.3 and losing the problem..that's fine with me.
A computer should be a tool...a tool that works, NOT a wall to spend hours banging one's head against trying to 'fix' something. Having spent over 30 years doing exactly that (yes, before there WERE 'PCs'), I'll pass.
