I have almost lost patience with Firefox. Somewhere between Firefox version 33 and 35 , something has changed fundamentally so that it simply can not handle the same volume of Open tabs as previously (anymore than 20 Tabs causes issues and Freezes) . I have used across OSX 10.7 to OSX 10.10 (Yosemite) and the problem is consistent across 2 different Macs. I have tried disabling all plugins and have done complete HD reformat for BOTH Macs (both are high spec machines) I am about a week away from leaving Firefox to never return (after using for last 6 years) as Chrome can do and handle what Firefox used to

Anyone have similar frustrations? Is Firefox fundamentally using more resources to run Java and Flash, etc in the background?
