Did this problem start after an update or other software change, or just out of the blue?

Do you get any crash dialog, either from Firefox ("Mozilla Crash Reporter") or from Windows?

Could you try starting Firefox in its Safe Mode? That's a standard diagnostic tool to deactivate extensions and some advanced features of Firefox. More info: Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode.

If Firefox is not running: Hold down the Shift key while double-clicking the Firefox icon.

If Firefox is running: You can restart Firefox in Safe Mode using either:

• "3-bar" menu button > "?" button > Restart with Add-ons Disabled
• Help menu > Restart with Add-ons Disabled

Then okay the restart.

Both scenarios: A small dialog should appear. Click "Start in Safe Mode" (not Refresh).

i unistall bonjour and other programs. apparently bonjour is related to firefox, so i just system restore my computer and its working fine.

I think Bonjour is a program from Apple. Or maybe you have a different Bonjour. I don't think you should need it to run Firefox, but possibly it might change some settings in Firefox. Hmm...

You can check if you can start Firefox in Safe Mode by holding down the Shift/Options key.

It is possible that your security software (firewall, anti-virus) blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.

Remove all rules for Firefox and the plugin-container from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full, unrestricted, access to install for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.
