lockwise often does not offer to generate a random password
firefox/lockwise offers to generate a random password to create logins. Which is of course very useful.
Except that in my experience for a lot of sites it does not work. If a try to change my password on such a site to a random one, the context menu only offers 'fill password', it does not offer 'use generated password' and hence 'use securely generated password' is not reachable.
I was trying to work around this issue by creating a new login from the about:logins page but it seems you can't generate a password from that page either
To be clear for quite some accounts it all works as intended, so no problem in my setup, but quite regularly I am stuck without a way to generate a random password.

system: firefox 75.0 on ubuntu 19.10
generating passwords enabled in Options/Preferences -> Privacy
and about:config shows
signon.generation.available = true signon.generation.enabled = true
nobody?
You have not provided any exemplary website where password generation does not work.
well currently i am looking at a form to change the password of my broker account. Obviously i can't point you to that page.
i attached a picture with the html of the form. three elements, old password, new password, confirmation.
firefox/lockwise offers to fill in existing passwords for all 3 elements, but does not offer to generate a random one in any of those 3 fields
a second example is the DSM software of Synology NAS devices, which uses a webinterface latest version DSM 6.2.3, but I have seen this before When I try to change the password (replace unsafe one with a safe/random one):
Control Panel -> User -> Select a user -> Edit For the password field, firefox/lockwise does not offer to generate a random password only to fill in existing password
Bizarrely, it DOES offer to fill in a generated random password for the 'Confirm password' field, but the 'random' password is '87654321'!
