It's Pac-Man's 30th Birthday today, and Google's homepage is a playable Pac-Man game around the Google logo. My boyfriend had the same problem, then I went to Google and was like Hey, it's Pac-Man! And then the siren started. He plays fine on my laptop, but for some reason the music is stuck on his computer.
All you have to do is disable the "Cool Previews" add on for firefox. Go to the "Tools" link at the top of the browser, go down to "Add Ons", go to the "Cool Previews", click "Disable". Then restart firefox and it should be fine!

Problem is with Google 'birthday celebration of Pacman' - try disabling java script until Google wake up to the mayhem they seem to be causing!

Update: We now have a fix available our website http://www.coolpreviews.com. We will post to Mozilla later today once we've made sure everything is a-okay.
Google launched a homepage today which features an interactive PacMan game, with music, sirens, etc. If CoolPreviews is enabled, the music plays even if you don't have Google opened in your browser tab.
We apologize for this inconvenience.

go into tools>ad-ons and disable coolpreviews. restart firefox and the siren sound is gone.
AHA... I've found the problem! All you need to do it open up task manager and end the process Builder.exe (mine had *32) BUt others may not. Hope this solves everything!
