MESSAGE; We have not changed our site, but Chrome, Firefox and Opera recently changed their browser settings. You need to disable those updated browser settings by disabling your ad blockers. This is the only way.

This has been a running battle with http://publicsurplus.com/. Up until recently I have not had any trouble logging on, now I can't as the logon key is unresponsive. I use several different ad blockers in order to block every type of ad, what public surplus is telling me is that due to changes in Firefox settings, I MUST disable all of my ad blockers in order to login to their site. BTW, their site does not use any advertising. Evidently the browser settings that changed interpret the login symbol as an advertisement. If this is true, is there a way that I can permanently use an older browser version that is not automatically updated? If not true, is there ammunition you can give me to tell them they are liars?

Hi  !

Running more than one ad blocker will cause problems - running
uBlock Origin only will do the job you want done and you'll avoid
conflicts .......

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/ublock-origin/

Question though : Have you made sure that you allow cookies for that site  ?

The problem is on this page?

https://publicsurplus.com/sms/login/login

I'm not sure why the button isn't working on your Firefox. It appears to be a basic submit button, you can "virtually" click it by pressing Enter in the username or password field. Does the Enter key work for you?

Oh, but wait. There's an extra function attached to the submit event. If you follow the trail, there's:

function addFingerprintAndSubmit()

which uses a script library from https://github.com/Valve/fingerprintjs2

Possibly one of your blockers does not like that library -- it certainly sounds creepy.

Could you try this:

(1) Open Firefox's Browser Console (Ctrl+Shift+j).

Then click the garbage can icon in the upper left corner to clear the existing messages and switch back to the main window.

(2) Try submitting the form again.

(3) Check the Browser Console for any new messages. Anything?

Thank you but your suggestions did not work also cntrl+shift+j did not show any errors. However I do appreciate the effort.

Thank you Not only did this help because of the feature of turning it off for a single web site but also because I only had to delete one of my protections and add ublock. It worked great.
