firefox always tries to print using a printer that no longer exists

When I first installed firefox, I was using a HP Deskjet. I have since gone through 3 other printers, and am now using a network attached Laserjet printer. I still have the Deskjet, because it has an integrated scanner, however despite me configuring the Laserjet printer as the system default for all printing, firefox STILL tries to use the deskjet, ignoring the system wide default. Firefox is also the ONLY application that exhibits this behavior.

I have to go through the list of printers every time, and deselect the deskjet, and select the laserjet. Every. Single. Time.

While it only takes a few seconds, it tends to be a rather annoying chore, as its the only application to ignore the system wide default printer setting. Is there any fix for this, to make firefox use the system default printer, instead of printer.firstEverPrinterEverUsed()?
