ff 19 crashes continually
I had ff 18 and it was crashing so when 19 came along I upgraded and it still crashed. I found a virus that I could not kill so I upgraded my os from xp to win 7 and i still have the same crash problem. It happens more when I have multi tabs open but some times when I first open it and will crash several times in a row. I now use chrome so I can submit this. here are the last few reports.

You can try a clean reinstall and delete the Firefox program folder before reinstalling a fresh copy of Firefox.
Download a fresh Firefox copy and save the file to the desktop.
- Firefox 19.0.x: http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all.html
Uninstall your current Firefox version, if possible, to cleanup the Windows registry and settings in security software.
- Do NOT remove personal data when you uninstall your current Firefox version, because all profile folders will be removed and you will also lose your personal data like bookmarks and passwords from profiles of other Firefox versions.
Remove the Firefox program folder before installing that newly downloaded copy of the Firefox installer.
- It is important to delete the Firefox program folder to remove all the files and make sure that there are no problems with files that were leftover after uninstalling.
Your bookmarks and other profile data are stored in the Firefox Profile Folder and won't be affected by an uninstall and (re)install, but make sure that "remove personal data" is NOT selected when you uninstall Firefox.
If you keep having problems then also create a new profile.

I will try that but I have changed from xp to 7 on the same computer and I still have the same prob. could it be a hardware conflict? I will blow out all the info I just put it to running last week so I dont have much info in my profile.
I blew all of it out rebooted and reinstalled 19.0.2 it ran for about 30 minutes then crashed twice. then avg showed an error and would not update, so I turned off avg and tried update and it updated. I rebooted and it ran scandisk. It found some orphan files then started up and has not crashed sense. I open up a bunch of tabs with several different sites open that I normally have up and so far so good . knock on wood!!

Try to disable hardware acceleration in Firefox.
- Tools > Options > Advanced > General > Browsing: "Use hardware acceleration when available"

well I have been working with it all week trying to fix the crashes and I think I have it. I was having a problem with avg 2013 giving random errors I uninstalled it all and cleaned the reg deleted all files that had avg. installed microsoft essentials and that slowed the crashes. then I read some of the crash reports and it had crashed due to flash player so I down graded to 10. and have not had a crash in over 24 hours now. I will let you know if I have more problems
I changed over to aurora to see if there was any difference it got better for a few days but then it would not even start up without crashing. I stuck in my hirens boot disk and run memory test and 3 seconds in I got errors. I started pulling memory and found a bad memory stick. replaced it and booted up and all is good now. if I have any more problems I will post them. The reason I checked the memory is because I would get a random shut down and my avg would throw errors and I tried everything before trying the memory
