Hi I am using Mozilla 4.0.1, in one of my application i am not able to enter 't' in a text area box but 'T' can. there is no validation to prevent small alpha characters. with IE browser it working fine.

Are any other fields affected (e.g., <input type="text">)?

Is it possible that a lower case t is a hotkey for one of your add-ons? To bypass add-ons, you can restart in Firefox's Safe Mode.

First, I recommend backing up your Firefox settings in case something goes wrong. See Backing up your information. (You can copy your entire Firefox profile folder somewhere outside of the Mozilla folder.)

Next, try restarting Firefox using Help > Restart with add-ons disabled. Don't check any of the boxes, just continue in Safe Mode. This article describes Safe Mode and its options in more detail: Safe Mode.
