Stored passwords lost after scan with Registry Mechanic

After running scan on registry mechaninic from PCTools my stored password list is empty. Though I can login at some sites with automatic login. Somehow the passwords aren't lost, but not viewable anymore. Is there some kind of hidden file or underlaying db with these passwords? Is there a pssibility of restoring the passwords in any way? I am running FF3.6 on Vista

Websites remembering you and automatically log you in is stored in a cookie, so if you still have those cookies then that is probably why you can login automatically.
