We have completely lost the SEND function in Thunderbird. We are not offline. There is no SEND button or send option anywhere. Where did it go?
The send function has completely disappeared. The "send later" function also is gone. We have checked every possible option on the menu bar and "send" has vanished.
The forward and reply buttons are visible. If you select an email and hit forward, the email pops up for you to add a message, but there is no way to send it. Ditto for reply.
Also, we are unable to get the now hidden menu bar to show. Pressing the ALT key does not work. Neither does "right-clicking on an empty section of the tab strip" as Mozilla instructs.
We have made no changes to the Mozilla software, made no updates or downloads. One day, the send function was simply not there.
Any help or assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

The alt key or F10 should make a hidden menu bar appear.
You need the menu bar to turn missing toolbars back on. The send button is on the Composition Toolbar in a Write window. You need to have a Write window open. Press alt or F10 to get the menu bar to appear. From the menu bar select View-Toolbars and turn the missing toolbars back on.

That worked. Thank you so much!
