I autoscroll, using the middle mouse button a lot. I middle click, release the button, and just move the mouse. To stop the scrolling I click the middle button again.

The problem is that in Twitter (only when using Firefox, not Chrome), and perhaps a very few other websites, if I make that second click (to end scrolling) over a link or linked image, the link opens (in a new tab). This is very frustrating, since I can move the mouse anywhere while scrolling, and I commonly mistakenly open links this way, interrupting my reading.

If I am *not* autoscrolling and middle-click on a link in Twitter, nothing happens. (Perfect!) But if I am autoscrolling the link opens (Bad!).

How can I set up Firefox to that the middle mouse button will never open links, and only function for scrolling?

I have recently registered with Firefox after having used it for a long time. I now find that the password that I thought I had used is not recognised. I am currently logged in. Is there a way of viewing my password in my account details? I do not want to change the password as I am unsure what I will lose from my history etc

For the last few days audio in firefox does not work at all, i searched your site for known solutions, uninstalled and reinstalled the firefox but it is still the same, i get normal audio from every other app/game just not from firefox itself. The day it happened there were no updates i did (both on my pc or the firefox ) i was just reading and playing some music on youtube, the music stops i go to check if it is the youtube are you still there message but there is nothing i can see the video playing but no sound, i then reinstalled my audio drivers thinking it was the windows problem that i had few times now but still no results. I checked everything that i could from my side and followed help from your support pages, and i am now out of options so i would appreciate a fast reply.

Główny problem dotyczy "obrazków" lub zdjęć czy też krótkich filmów (z tik toka, youtube, tweetera i innych podobnych) serwisów zamieszczanych na głównych stronach internetowych jak www.interia.pl podaję dodatkowy - przykładowy link, na którym NIE są wyświetlane prawidłowo wszystkie obrazki:

Chciałbym wyjaśnić, że nie ma znaczenia, czy mam jakiekolwiek dodatki włączone czy nie mam, efekt jest zawsze taki sam - brak obrazków!!!. Identyczne dodatki oraz identyczne ustawienia jak w "Firefox" mam także w "Opera" i tam wszystko działa.

Po prostu coś zjebaliście mości panowie przy tworzeniu przeglądarki, bo jest ten problem występuje już od kilku ładnych aktualizacji - cały czas.

2. Ponadto drugi problem to taki, że nie życzę sobie, aby Firefox dodawał przy aktualizacji lub instalacji cokolwiek do autostartu windows !!! zawsze będę usuwał wszelkie podprogramy, których sobie nie życzę z autostartu. Wystarczą Wasze gówniane rozszerzenia, których nie można w żaden sposób usunąć a których po prostu nie chcę w przeglądarce (Allegro, DuckDuckGo, Google, Wikipedia(En), Wolne Lektury)... po jaką cholerę to dodajecie?

Please tell me in simple terms how to reload if my Firefox drop down menu does not display this option...which is apparently crucial. Last couple days, two familiar web-sites have asked me to reload. Note: I read the two "help" instructions, both of which suggest clicking (somewhere) on "Customize," then following instructions which these two helpers provide. Problem: Just as drop-down menu for Firefox provides no "Reload" option, it likewise provides no "Customize" option.

Hi, current version is 100.0.2. Running on Win 10 (10.0.19044 build 19044). Have refreshed Firefox and also tried a clean install - problem still exists. Have done a scan using HouseCall - no gremlins found. For the last few weeks my browser has been playing up. After a few minutes pages would basically stop loading, clicking on a new link would open a new window but nothing would load. Disabled my Ad Blocker extensions (I had two) and issue resolved itself. Re-enabled Ad blocker (AdGuard AdBlocker) and problem returned. Disabled it, problem went, tried Ghostery (not used before), issue returned. Both extensions are recommended. Similar issue exists on my work computer - one ad blocker and after a few site visits pages no longer load, and links no longer react to a click, home button no longer works. I close and open and I get told firefox is already running and do I want to close it before opening again. Pretty sure it's not just my home computer. Any help would be welcomed.

The warning "This file contains a virus or malware" keeps appearing from my downloads progress bar even though the files have been deleted and the download history has been repeatedly cleared. I've restarted my mac several times to no avail. Please can you help? Magnus

Dear Sir/Madam I have recently started purchased an Oculus Quest 2 VR headset. In order to purchase apps and games for my headset I want to use my PC so I can peruse the software available in the Oculus Quest store However when using the Firefox browser I find that when I link to the Oculus store I end up with a constantly rotating wheel and cannot access the apps/gamessection of the store (Now known as METAQUEST) However when I use the MICROSOFT EDGE browser the Oculus website works perfectly This disappointing as I much prefer to use FIREFOX Could you advise if there is a setting within Firefox which may help or could you comment on why Microsoft Edge works but Firefox does'nt Thank you Regards and best wishes Edward

How do I change my "saved" email Address in your browser? It currently has my very old email address: [edited email from public] @cox.net. Many websites display that old setting associated with my info/reply. In my canned responses, I can change/update my name, phone #, etc....but cannot repeat cannot change the email address. The block displays: [edited email from public] @cox.net. I have went to settings, privacy & security, etc in your application to search how I can update this Old Email Address. Your application always sends email to my correct address: [edited email from public] @gmail.com but when I reply to the site/request my response/page displays the old incorrect email. Please Please advise how I can correct this severe problem. It prevents me from donating to viable causes/programs because my reply lists my incorrect email address.....BTW I will be most most happy to donate to you guys if we can get this error corrected. Firefox does not play well with how you customize keyboard shortcuts on Mac i.e. Go to System Preferences > Keyboard > Keyboard Shortcuts.

By default - Move Cursor to Address Bar - Cmd+L Bookmark this Page - Cmd+D

I would like to switch these two shortcuts but there does not seem to be any way. Please help me out.

Instructions on changing primary email address not helpful-prompted to access Accounts but profile displayed would not let me edit my primary email address. When attempted to add secondary address was notified that code was sent to my old email address was was compromised & deleted by security of my carrier Want to add new email address & add secondary email account. Only Firefox Browser 100.0.1 (64-bit) and (32-bit) won't respond to HTML <audio> Tag in a webpage. I have 4 computers (tower, laptops and tablet) using Windows 7 or Windows 10 though Firefox won't play <audio> tag sounds on any of them. All computers are also running Chrome (Version 101.0.4951.67 (Official Build) (64-bit)) and Internet Explorer (Ver: 20H2 OS Build 19042.1706) and those browsers play the <audio> Tag just fine. Note: videos from YouTube play video & audio as well as .mp3 files just fine in Firefox. Volume Mixer for Firefox is set to 50%, no mute. All other applications in Volume Mixer are set the same. I also deleted browsing history, cookies, Cash, Forms, Offline website data & search history as well as Site settings. Range to clear 'Today'. And, Firefox still won't respond to the <audio> tag. Also, restarted the computer and uninstalled Firefox and re-installed it, no change. w3schools.com indicates Firefox first supported the <audio> tag in version 3.5. We have a webapp, while accessing this application in Chrome/Edge browsers, it doesn't prompt the user to enter login credentials. But the same application while accessing in Firefox, it prompts the user to enter login credentials. How can I disable the login prompt for Firefox and make firefox to use the windows authentication( How to allow NTLM/Windows Authentication in Firefox )

For the last few weeks I keep getting this error message: An error occurred during a connection to ....... You are attempting to import a cert with the same issuer/serial as an existing cert, but that is not the same cert.

Error code: SEC_ERROR_REUSED_ISSUER_AND_SERIAL

It will suddenly happen for multiple sites that I have been connected to in the past, or new sites I try to open including support.mozilla.org. A solution is to clear my history and restart the browser. It only happens on my windows 10 laptop. I think happens when I have logged off or the device has slept and then firefox has restarted and opened previously open tabs. Other devices on the same network don't get effected.

I know this has been asked before but I've looked through past instances and couldn't find a solution that still seems to work as of 2022. I need a way to disable certain built-in Firefox keyboard shortcuts. I recently switched from Chrome to Firefox but if I can't disable the ctrl+i and ctrl+b keyboard shortcuts I'm going to have to switch back. I use both very frequently for work, so their non-functionality in this browser is genuinely impacting my productivity and it's getting really frustrating.
