If a female member indicates she wishes to turn messaging off by using "has disabled messaging for now, try sending a like instead!" could a male member please have the option of turning off members who use this option to save time when looking thru profiles please?

I don't want to always be asked where I want to save files. I'm okay for all future files to be saved in my Downloads folder. I go to settings and remove the Check mark for "Always ask where to save files". But this setting does not survive a Firefox restart/exit. Why not?

How can I get firefox to preserve my preferred setting?

Hello I don't have sound on Firefox. I made all points from article mozilla's about trobleshooting with sound, but it still doesn't works. I have sound on others - Chrome, Edge, Opera. I tried also install Firefox to my laptop and it's the same problem. I turned off blocking of sound in settings. What can I do with it? I very like Firefox and don't image to be without it. I'm tired off spell check constantly saying I'm misspelling words because I'm writing in Danish, so I decided to download the danish dictionary for it, but it isn't working. When I right click on a "misspelled" word, it will only let me choose the default English (United States).

I have triple checked that I actually do have the danish dictionary downloaded an enabled.

Within the Add-on Manager by clicking Manage Extension Shortcuts - you can make shortcuts for add-ons to perform specific functions via the buttons on your keyboard, but I want to actually be able to use the buttons on my actual mouse rather than the keyboard.

Does anybody know if this is possible? Currently when I try to use my mouse to input a 'shortcut' in the 'Type a shortcut' box nothing works.

Are there any about:config settings or add-ons that can enable me to use my Mouse to make shortcuts for my add-ons?

This issue is so annoying, that I need to ask Firefox community what I can do. So, the problem is, that if I set custom home page called Infinity New Tab (Pro), then I will restart Firefox, then it reverts back to Firefox Home.

I think, that this is completely unrelated to malware, because I'm scanning my computer very often.

Are my preferences/settings corrupted?

The most recent update to Firefox introduced duplicate 'Manage Bookmarks' option in the bookmark drop down. Is there a way to remove the bottom one in an option that I'm not finding? The only thing I've found searching is from a few years ago talking about setting up a CSS file, which I've never done before.

I reinstalled Firefox and made sure that I had unticked the data and history boxes, and declined the search suggestions. Nevertheless, the first attempt at entering a search immediately called up millions of the things. At Chrome, I have learned a sequence of eight clicks, whereby I can, for just that one search, avoid those hideous suggestions. If I could have a no-click option at Firefox, I would stay here. Otherwise, can you tell me how to uninst... no, I can first have another look in Windows settings. Looked through the C drive, but I recall now there is an "uninstall programs" facility in Windows. So, if you are able to tell me how to switch off the suggestions, I will stay at Fireofox. If not, I won't. I can remember a Google (or Chrome) person talking on TV, about 15 yrs ago, about this new thing they had (search suggestions) that everyone would love. Four or five seconds into his talk, I knew that I hated it, and have never moved a millimeter away from that position.

I don't want tabs i open through middle click to be focused immediately. I checked my settings and they aren't supposed to be doing that based on what I see. How do I get this to stop?

After update of Firefox version 103.0.1 the symbols are too big and the size cannot be reduced (to small size). So too few symbols fit into a symbol line. How can this be fixed?

You can't disable firefox spell checking. Check your spelling as you type. Misconfiguration? Did you make a mistake somewhere? I'm not sure. I mainly use two types of IME, Microsoft IME and google Japanese input.

I have tried syncing to the time server and manually updating the time with no success. It is only happening on this computer. My other laptop and my Android are fine, so it has something to do with something on this PC. I've tried to disable vpns but that hasn't helped. Any insight is greatly appreciated since the timestamp is crucial for much of what I do!

For decades, when I right-clicked and selected Customize, Firefox opened a separate icons window. Now, it opens as a tab. How can I make it open again as a window? Thank you.

Hi, i have problem with uninstalling uBlock Origin i cant remove them from extension tab. I tried refreshing firefox, reinstalling, opening firefox with troubleshoot mode and still nothing i dont know why is so difficult.Even when i reinstalling firefox this addon onstalling by itself even when im not logged in.Please help me. Hi: I'm trying to find some way of removing the vertical lines in replies. A previous asking of this same question lead me to attempt to install the 'replywithheader' add-on but it hangs with the "Add ReplyWithHeader? This extension will have permission to: .... Cancel Add" popup box ... It doesn't matter if I click either Cancel or Add, the box just hangs there. Or is there some other way of removing the vertical lines? One might have thought this would be an easily accessible option in the setup.

Thing is that I'm working on a rather long report with other people and we email changes back and forth but each time another vertical line is added. How to nuke ALL the vertical lines? How to stop them from being added in the first place?

For decades, the add-ons have been displayed on my title bar. Then I had some securities issues and to change some settings and somehow, the icons on add-ons disappeared from the title bar. Would like to restore them to the title bar. Can I?

When I put the pointer arrow on a tab to open it the tab background turns black and the type is white. It used to be the opposite and I want to change it back to white background black type. How do I do that? I do not like this change at all. This happened right after your new Firefox update also.
