When I restart my computer, I am logged out of all websites although I did not select settings such as "Delete cookies and site data when Firefox is closed". This only happens with reboots and not on Suspend.

I saw two similar posts but the options look like they changed name since then: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1319622 https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1289909

I tried to apply the solutions linked there, to no avail.

This behaviour only happens on my Garuda Linux and not on Pop-os. Thus I am not sure here is the right place to ask this question.

Another strange bug which may be related is the following: if I zoom in a page (say set it at 120 percents) then go to another tab and then come back to the page I zoomed in, the zoom is reset to 100 percents.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I KEEP GETTING MALWARE, TROJANS, VIRUSES IN THE .CACHE FOLDER OF FIREFOX FOR LINUX

IS THERE SOFTWARE OR ADD ON THAT WILL STOP THIS OR AN ANTIVIRUS ?

I USE LINUX MINT 20.3 CINNAMON 64 BIT

NO MATER WHAT WEBSITE I USE I GET THEM, AND COMODO FOR LINUX WILL NOT INSTALL CORECTLY.

For instance there is a site I use, which has a list of my posts, with buttons to delete the posts. I click the delete button, this opens an "Are you sure?" modal window, I click delete, the modal closes, I am on the same original list page with the same URL, but now I have another pseudo-page in my back button history that I have to go through.

If I do this with three more posts, I will have an additional three back button history dropdown entries to navigate back through.

When I exceed the number of entries shown in the dropdown, I have to keep clicking through the quasi-paginated list of duplicated back button history entries for the same exact page, to get back to the page I was on before ever going to the list page.

I've been using firefox as my main browser and I've created a account and using it all the time for syncing the settings, bookmarks, logins, extensions etc.

BUT due to some unwanted (really irritating) search suggestion were being shown to me by firefox, I had to uninstall firefox from my system.

• • Throughout the process, I'd kept syncing ON always!!

But when I installed firefox again and after loggedin, I'm syncing everything but this is restoring (syncing) very old data which doesn't have my latest bookmarks, extenstions & saved logins!!

How DO I get my all data???

first of all thank you all in the community for your amazing work on Firefox!

I have cloned my $HOME (including ./.mozilla/firefox/) to another Linux device.

Now I realize that changing the Firefox Sync device name on the new device would also change it for the other device when checking "Connected Services" https://accounts.firefox.com/settings. I also can only see the new device name when using "Send to device" from any device.

I guess I have to unlink my new device and somehow assign it a new device ID for Firefox Sync to recognize the new device. How can I do that?

I want "Firefox Suggest" suggestions to operate like normal in regular windows, but not show up in private windows.

Is this possible with an "about:config" tweak?

I find the password function in FFox very useful.

What will make it even !better! is if it had a text box where I can add notes. For example I may need to know which email address is associated with a login. Also this will be a good place to store my security questions.

Not certain if this is the place to request updates...

A lot of times while coding I press Ctrl+S to save Visual Studio Code and update live server (while watching on firefox the result). The problem is that when I'm focused on Firefox Ctrl+S pops up the Save Page window and (if I held Ctrl+S for more than a split second) it crashes (probably due to multiple popups becoming unresponsive). The mouse can't click to cancel the pop ups for saving the page nor interact it. I have to kill the firefox process and restart it. I've been looking into disabling Ctrl+S shortcut in Firefox with no success (extensions are deprecated or require too many permissions I'm not comfortable with).

Would someone help me to disable Ctrl+S or enlighten me on how to not have firefox crash every time I accidentally press Ctrl+S?

Fix it so the FireFox browser Version 88.0 for Ubuntu (Linux) works AGAIN at saving website Login data using a Primary password via your 'FireFox Sync' advertisement (documentation).

Clicking the back button does not usually take me back to Google search results. When I do a Google search and click on one of the resulting links, it's often (but not always, oddly enough) as if I've opened the link in a new tab with no browsing history. I can continue to click on links and build the tab's history, but the oldest url in the tab history is the one I got to after the Google search results page. To get to the Google page, I have to open my full browsing history.

If it's just my problem, I'll just keep doing that, but I appreciate any ideas. Maybe it's how Google redirects? Is there a setting that could affect this? Some of my settings are inherited from Ubuntu Studio.

For some time now FF will not open certain sites that it used to, these sites all open and function normally in other browsers such as Opera. The most important being my online bank! I have contacted the sites involved and they cannot understand why. I have cleared Cache, cookies etc. I'm using FF 88.0 on Ubuntu. Can you help?

I want to completely disable the Firefox pop-up notifications regarding updates. I have searched the web for an answer and cannot find anything workable. Can you please tell me how to accomplish this as the constant nagging is extremely annoying.

In about:config I have the following set with no success:

I have a locked file that shows up as Invalid Symlinks error. I am not sure but I think it may be Profile.ini Here is what I am getting that tells me its a Non-Existent Destination file. My question is why is it Invalid symlink and what can I do to fix it? When attempting to do so, I get a 'Digital Rights Management (DRM) Not Enabled' message, even though it is enabled in Preferences!

Google Widevine plugin is also activated

as the title suggest, all of a sudden, firefox redirects all requests to https for a certain subdomain (I haven't found any other domains yet, this one I'm checking daily and noticed this). Subdomain I'm referring to is hosting prometheus, alertmanager and grafana, all on different ports on same subdomain. Only grafana is configured to use TLS, prometheus and alertmanager was never configured and was using plain http.

All of a sudden, this morning, alertmanager and prometheus are being redirected to https. Their configuration was unchanged for months. When i open Developer Tools and visit the alertmanager or prometheus page, i get no HTTP status code (literally i get blank value under "Status", GET is trying to use https without any 302 or other redirect requests. Which gives me thinking - this redirection comes from firefox for some reason..

When opening same URLs under Private Browsing i get no issues, also , i get no issues when accessing the URLs from other browsers.

What might've happened for firefox to trigger this behavior , and how to fix it and prevent it from ever happening again.

Things I've tried: - Clear site preferences from History - network.stricttransportsecurity.preloadlist to false - browser.fixup.fallback-to-https to false - dom.security.https_first - was already false - I haven't installed any new extensions and I'm not using DuckDuckGo Extension - Enable DNS over HTTPS was already disabled

What i haven't tried: - Clearing entire history with cache and cookies. Seems like an overkill for something that should not've even happen and for something that previous options should already fix.

Please help me out.
