when going to msnto hotmail or visa-versa after signing in,I get a message basically saying im accessing a n encrypted site but the way it is sent is not encrypted?

I sign in to hotmail when I go to MSN,(without signing out) and also the same with MSN to hotmail a message comes up with an option to continue or not if I continue it warns that although the site is encrypted the sending to it is not and details could be seen by a third party, I thought I had better security with Firefox.I dont get a message like that with google chrome
