TB 102: How to sync an addressbook with icloud contacts?

First I like to thank all the developers of Thunderbird and other people involved in the project.

I use TB since 2004. And now I'm impressed about the big development step in version 102.

My question is about the synchronization of a CardDAV account: icloud contacts.

When I enter the following data

contacts.icloud.com My Apple ID as username My app specific password, created in cloud.com

I get the error message "Connection failed".

How to sync iCloud contacts in Thunderbird please?

Hint: I was able to sync another CardDAV account (I have one on my own Baikal server) without any problems.

Regardless:

What do you guys think about the following suggestion?

I would find it useful to be able to optionally hide certain types of data in a synced Thunderbird address book.

Disable:

[ ] Addresses [ ] Phone numbers [ ] Birthdays [ ] Notes

I use the Thunderbird addressbook for mail addresses only.
