update 98 not useable

i use an Asus PC running win7 for live streaming web sites such as news sites. It is NOT this PC i write this message on. It has been fine until update 98.0 was applied. Now its unusable for live streaming from websites. Video does not play constantly. It runs then freezes, runs then freezes all the time but the audio continues. Its like this with all the websites i stream from which were fine before this update 98.0. If i go to Chrome, they stream fine. Whats happened with this update to cause this issue?
