Profile redirected folders

We use A MS server 2012 with redirected folders with MS sync to sync folders. When the user goes off site the Firefox profile is not available. I have created a new c:\firefox\profile folder and user firefox -p, used the profile manager to point to the new profile folder. Then if you go to the Truobleshooting screen and under Application you click show profile folder it is still pointed to the \\servera\rediected$\username share. How can I get Firefox to live/operate completely on the local drive and not see the redirected c:\users\username\appdata folder?
