I have a document that came from online using Firefox 8.0 that I am unable to remove.

I was online (Firefox 8.0) (Southwest Airlines web flight booking site) and copied a flight itinerary and pasted it to a MS Office 2007 Word document. I named it and saved it to my desktop. I now want to delete it. I have tried the delete function, dragging/dropping the the wastebasket, cutting the contents and re-saving it, and renaming it. No matter what I do, a small "file in use" window opens with the following message, "The action can't be completed because it is open in Plugin Container for Firefox" and name of the document (that I named it) is listed below it. What do I need to do in order to get rid of the document? It finally changed names at my prompting but then frozen on the desktop and disabled the MS Word desktop icon until I cancelled the name change via the above small window. I cannot do anything with the document.

Did you try to reboot the computer and delete the file before starting Firefox?

Thank you for your prompt assistance! I don't know why it did not occur to me to try a reboot because it has worked for various other computer problems that I have encountered in the past. It worked for this problem as well. I had gotten confused and frustrated from not knowing what the problem message meant or where this plugin container is located (on my Firefox/computer or on the website where I copied the document from, etc.) that it was referring to, or how to know what plugin it was if on my Firefox, or what negative effects could occur from disabling it. During my attempts to delete the document, there was also reference about the document being Read Only but I could not find a way to change it (did not show in its Properties window). Thanks!
