Pay for what?

Since you posted this in the (desktop) Firefox section, the Firefox web browser for Windows, macOS, and Linux is 100% free to download and use from Mozilla. You can even download the source and build it yourself. https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/all/#product-desktop-release

Mozilla does have a few premium products that you have to pay to use which are Mozilla VPN, Firefox Private Network (only in US), Firefox Relay MDN Plus.
