Use in both Windows and Mac. Can I copy the profile?
Hi all,
Hoping someone can assist.
Great email client btw. For the longest time, been looking for an app that would allow for a unified inbox. This provides it and more.
Main computer is Windows. I have a Mac as well where I want to use Thunderbird. I have multiple emails that I've setup. Wondering if I could just copy the profile across (from Windows to Mac) instead of configuring all the email setups again?
I may use both at the same time and wouldn't want to cause any conflicts.
Appreciate your thoughts on this.
Thanks!

The main issue for profiles is that the receiving MAC should NOT be on a prior version of TB, as profiles are not downward-compatible. Be sure to make the copy when TB is NOT running.
Thanks for the feedback david
Do you think it's better to setup new (with the same IMAP accounts) rather than exporting the profile?
If you are a bit uncomfortable with exporting and copying, then setting up IMAP is a safer approach. All settings, of course, would have to be reset. However, one of the features of ver 102 is that it is a full profile import feature that can be invoked from the home tab when it initially starts.
