To move my Thunderbird Profile to a new computer (Windows 7 to Windows 10 Pro), I used the instructions at: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/moving-thunderbird-data-to-a-new-computer#thunderbird:win7:tb91

I followed the instructions exactly. After pasting my profile, I opened Thunderbird. it is telling me "Your Thunderbird profile can not be loaded. It may be missing or inaccessible".

BEFORE I moved my profile to the new computer, the profile on the new computer has 2 files with random characters. AFTER moving the profile from the old to the new computer, the new computer had 4 files with random numbers in the profile folder. The file I copied on the old computer was the "Profile" folder. When pasting, the new computer did not ask if I wanted to replace the folder. After pasting, I opened Thunberbird and got the error shown above.

I decided to delete the Profile folder on the new computer. I then pasted the profile folder from my old computer. The profile folder on the new computer shows the 2 files with random numbers. I still got the error shown above when I opened Thunderbird.

I found my problem. I was copying the profile folder and not the Tunderbird folder.
