Normally when you starting to write a new email, Thunderbird will set the 'from' address to the address of the account whose mailbox you're current browsing.

However, I have a saved search that entirely contains email from my secondary (work) account, but if I start a new email while browsing it, it picks my default (home) email address. This has caused me to accidentally send emails from the wrong address more than once!

Is there any way to change it so that it'll set the 'from' field of new emails to my work email when browsing that specific saved search?

Since last update, Reminders pop up window will not close as before when the reminders are all cleared. Have too manually close the window. Saw this was an issue many versions ago that seemed to be cleared after an update. I could find no way to "fix" the issue. Is this a new bug?

Everything is gone? All my organized folders, everything. It prompts me to set up everything again. It then gives more prompts I don't understand. What should I do? This is a disaster

Hi, in the past couple of weeks as I am moving selected emails from my Inbox to their Folders, the remaining emails in the Inbox have disappeared (twice)Most recently this Monday. I was able to have Yahoo recall /restore many of them Wednesday. Then Today Friday April 26; I selected an email in the Drafts Folder to Edit, by selecting the Edit button and it disappeared.

This all seems ODD. I have not changed any settings or done anything different. I have lots of storage on the Hard Drive. Would you kindly assist yours dennis

in my 'podcasts' folder I have ~2 pages of folders of the type feeds.json-xxx.corrupt where xxx is some number, see attached image.

With the intention to re-subscribe to my feeds later, I have deleted all other folders in my podcasts folder. Trying to simply delete the feeds.json-xxx.corrupt folders did not work. How can I get rid of them?

(I am using the portable version of thunderbird)

When I delete an email, it usually goes to the trash, so I can find it again. Now the emails are deleted permanently and disappear. How can I keep my emails in the trash? Sincerely Helle

I have set up my own domain guytec.org using Namecheap. The alias for email is tguy. I have pointed this new email to my gmail address. I can receive emails into my thunderbird Gmail box from tguy@guytec.org. I want to write emails with sent from tguy@guytec.org showing? How??

When receiving emails they appear as normal but in the background is another email of a couple of pages which has sender and receiver details at the top then lines of letters making no sense for the rest of the message.

My wife and I each have our own Thunderbird accounts. They were created a long time ago, at different times. I’m pretty sure that they were not set up identically. She has recently experienced a problem: the number of new emails downloaded (as shown in the lower left corner of the screen) doesn’t match with the number of new and unread emails listed in the Inbox (the emails shown in boldface). Something else, though I think related: In the upper left corner of the screen, on the same line as the word Inbox, is a small circle with a number inside. I think that number gives the number of unread emails in the Inbox. Her number shows 20 but the actual number (boldface) is 15. Is this a serious problem? Is it a problem at all? If so, how to fix it? Thanks.

I have 4 different email accounts, all managed by IONOS. These have all been set up under thunderbird OK. But when I send an email from 1 of these email accounts I always have to enter my password for that a/c. With all the other accounts, this is not necessary. I do not use Thunderbird or Firefox password managers. I assume that I must have made an error in setting up the outgoing details when setting up that particular account in Thunderbird, but I cannot find a way of checking if that is the case.

When I try to: 1) click and drag an email's attachment to my desktop, I get an "Unspecified Error" dialog box. 2) use the Save button (on the bottom right of the attachment line), the saved file is zero size. These occur if the email is shown in TB or in a separate window.

Workaround: When I click and drag (or save) the EMAIL to my desktop, the resulting file is an '.eml' file, which I able to "open with" TB from Windows Explorer -- this attachment is valid, if I click open or save it.

I am running Windows 7/TB Supernova 115.3.3 (64-bit)

I don't deal with many email attachments, so I am okay with the workaround, but would like find a way to correct this issue.

After updating Thunderbird to 115.5.2 I receive an error when I check (get) messages of my gmail account : 'The STAT command did not succeed. Error getting message number and size......'. However, the messages do come in and so the error turns out false. since the authorization (OAUTH2) credentials are accepted.

I have my server settings check messages from startup; every 5min; automatically download new messages. That works fine. Again only when I goto "Get Messages" the error shows up.

What is wrong here and ho do I fix this? Thank you

Hi there, My preview panel is working very badly, it either shows the content of the email or is completely white. What can I do to remedy it? - In some cases the emails appear in very strange codes, thousands of lines like this (iVBORw0KGgoAAAANSUhEUgAAAPAAAABGCAYAAADyxhn6AAAAAXNSR0IArs4c6QAAAARnQU1BAACx jwv8YQUAAAAJcEhZcwAA) - in other cases, totally blank - in other cases it's everything ok It's working fine, receiving and sending all emails.

Question: How I can access shared folders in Thunderbird?

Office 365 business. I can access admin portal etc:

portal.office.com/adminportal

And also I can go to Exchange admin portal via this. So, in my opinion I can use all deep settings also.

Office 365 licenses (full) for name.lastname@company.fi. Portal show "Office 365 business standard".

I create also shared folders. Today shared folders found from "Teams groups". Log in to portal.office.com/adminportal, "Teams-Groups", and then "Shared mailboxes".

My conf: Office 365 business standard found name.lastname@company.fi. ("john.smith@company.fi", "alice.brown@company.fi" as example.)

Shared mailboxes sharebox1, sharebox2, so, it is possible receive email sharebox1@company.fi, sharebox2@company.fi etc. (in real life share box names are bookkeeperteam@company.fi, orders@company.fi, helpdesk@company.fi etc etc.)

CONFIGURATION IS FULLY WORKING. It is, in Outlook it is possible receive and send emails, shared folders with messages are available etc.

1. LIcenced mailboxes work properly in Thunderbird. Tested.

This configuration work properly, and it is possible receive and send email from Thunderbird.

SHARED FOLDERS

It is not possible add shared folders.

Server: outlook.office365.com, 993 Username: name.lastname@company.fi/sharebox1 (where name.lastname is real working account name, just same as in position 1- working account. Also this sharebox1 work in outlook.) Connection security: SSL/TSL (no difference is it this or stattsl) Auth: OAuth2

OK: Now I try use this shared folder. It is visible in Thunderbird. But immediately thunderbird open Browser and ask password: "name.lastname/sharebox1", wrtite password. Now I put same pw as in this account (name.lastname..). "Password wrong." I try empty password. I try account password.

SO: HOW to add shared mailbox in Thunderbird? This information "name.lastname/sharebox" not work. Is it any other method? Or any Exchange setting modification make this?

This AM I was able to check / get e-mail five (5) or more times. Then clicking 'Get Mail' displays; connecting to mail.duo-county.com After 15-20 seconds connection to server mail.duo-county.com; Timed Out

I know of NO changes to any setting. When our e-mail was set up, we were told to set we were told to use Pop-3. Our ISP, who does NOT use NOR 'know' TB said we should be using IMAP, could NOT help review nor doing anything without risking ALL folders - files-data!

PLEASE help ASAP. Since we can't get - check mail I'm LOST! My spouse's e-mail is wpj@duo-county.com
